I have spent days supporting her mother and posting on these threads, and just because I find her little stunt offensive, now you and others want to hit the abuse button on me. That speaks volumes about you all more than it does me.

Yes, I see her handing out the prayer cards in stores was time better spent than talking with the Sloots tho whom she forced herself upon the day before and forced into an appointment for today but blew them off. She wants answers and they may be the only ones that can give them to her!

I watched Nat's mom handing out cards and I do believe that poor brave woman knows Nat is not coming on. I think she is driving herself and will collapse. My heart aches for her.

I've been following you and the others on these threads for a long time. FWIW, I think we owe it to Natalee and her family to stay as public as we can with this discussion. A Yahoo group will not contribute very much toward keeping pressure on the Aruban Barney Fifes. On the other hand, there are probably some Mayberry officials who wish that's exactly where you and the others will go. Please stay.

I've been following these threads with great interest. My heart breaks for the girls family - this is such an unneccessary tragedy.

Rippersnapper just posted what was his/her opinion is regarding the actions of the mother today.. granted he could have put it a little more delicately - but this is FreeRepublic and I've learned that not ALL people are the most delicate.

I've just gone back and read all of his/her posts and until this last deal with the mother - his posts have been totally supportive of the search. I think a report of abuse (if it's regarding this thread) is a little silly.

The interview with the sloots was interesting. Mommy is in denial like Scott Peterson's was. Father didn't say much of anything!! I did notice the mother giving him a funny look, when he said what little he did.(like she's mad at him)

The earlier pictures of the large pond/dump area that Colmes did with Natalee's Dad was very sad. To think that these parents have to go to places like this and pray that she ISN'T there. This area will be searched by the Texas group with their dogs when they are allowed to fly in!! It is located between the VDS and the two brothers homes.

I thought the same as I watched her. It gives her something to do and she is driven by her feelings of helplessness and anger and not knowing, to do SOMETHING, almost anything, as long as it seems positive. Otherwise, I think she would go mad. BTW, I can't stop you of course, but my wishes would be for you to stay here and let any "troublers" go away.

No, they don't. This is one parents can refuse, and over the last 10 years or so, many have. Some parents are stupid.

To be fair some of these shots can have severe reactions. This is an area where some parents anguish over what to do. Get the child the shot or not? We did and eventually opted to go with the shot. Worked for us and out child had no problem.

Let me ask you this. We face a similar situation again. The CDC is recommending that children under 15 get a meningitis vaccine. Do you or don't you? We had several kids die from meningitis when I was in high school. Do we have our child get the meningitis vaccine when he gets his other booster this summer?

If this were my kid's class, I'd make a very public demonstration in support of the Principal.

I suppose that since the wallet was later found in a bathroom, that the students couldn't return it because they were not allowed to use the bathroom. I'd like to know where in the bathroom the wallet had been found. Hidden or in plain site?

When something turns up missing they should go into lock down and for the very reasons you mentioned.

Doesn't a lerners permit REQUIRE that there be an adult driver in the car with the lerner at all times? If so, then the step father is in the right.

Since he backed out of his end of the deal, I think the records that are supposed to be sealed for 50 years should be released.

Yes, it would seem that if he is going to break the deal then it is null and void. They should release the records.
