About ten minutes ago, Husband in hills behind Brea, between Brea and Chino Hills, spotted in the northwest what looked like something entering the atmosphere. We grabbed binoculars, and it was extremely high altitude, coming in, not going out. Anybody see it? Can probably still spot it further north, as in Pasadena, etc. Grab binocs and look.
well, now I am confused. post #25 violated several laws of physics.
"Area 151 ???"
Bacardi I presume.
It was not going up, it was coming in from very, very high altitude. Grew up around Vandenberg, did a very in-depth project about launches at Vandenberg, have viewed literally dozens of launches from Vandenberg, and know a Vandenberg launch. This was not a launch, not even close in appearance or trajectory. It was a return, and it was not in the vicinity of Vandenberg.
Bacardi I presume.---
the same. the original "how the heck did I get that bruise on my forehead" elixir.
Thank you for the link! :^)
--Area 151 ???--
lol! empty 151.
Ahhh ... no wonder I feel groggy, not to mention nauseous ... please don't light a match or the whole place may go up in flames ... [chuckle]
This was not a launch. I am very familiar with launches from Vandenberg and even the Cape (have seen several from the cape, and dozens from VAFB). This was not a launch.
The great Moonbat coming in to oversee Hillarys campaign..
Probably. After all, he invented the Internet and Love Story, so why not? ;^)
Thanks for the vote of confidence, BT. :^) Also, it was not going out. It was most definitely coming in. Not a launch, but an entry.
Northern California here. I was outside and did not see anything. It is an unusually clear night tonight. We have been able to see the Vandenburg lauches from here, but they are usually headed west.
Uh, Finny, how can you respond to yourself, saying "I saw it too"? Do you have multiple personalities?
No contrail. Husband, who is professinally knowledgeable about jets and aviation, defines contrail as when hot air from exhaust hits cold air of high altitude, condenses, and leaves a sometimes long-lingering trail. This was not a contrail, it was the burn of something entering the atmosphere. No lingering contrail at all. Just a burn, and what caught his eye was the setting sun reflecting off the burn.
Theres no news on it, nothing on the radio.
Hey, now, come on -- in an infinite universe, anything is possible (with the exception of a sane Al Gore). On a side note ... why don't we send Al Gore to Gitmo and make the prisoners listen to him read his own poetry? Then Durbin would have something to talk about!
Finny me lad, put a cork in it and be off to bed with ya ..Ya have enough..Ya know how ya poor mutha and me hate ta see ya like this.
See my post 103, please. :^)
See my post 103, please. :^)
