ALHAMBRA, Calif. Protesters on both sides of the immigration debate faced off peacefully today outside a Home Depot in Alhambra Many undocumented immigrants often wait for work there, and several dozen protesters from the group Save Our State gathered to demonstrate against them.
They were met with a much larger group that opposes policies against illegal immigrants. San Gabriel Neighbors Peace and Justice says the immigrants should be left alone because they are simply seeking honest work.
Save Our State members say they are not against immigrants. Some of them are immigrants themselves. They accused Home Depot support illegal immigrants by allowing undocumented laborers to stand outside their stores.
Home Depot said in a statement it does not support illegal immigration but can't stop workers from standing near its stores.

Hardly. The BATF feds are EXTREMELY twitchy about going after anyone who might actually fight back. One reason they got their a$$e$ handed to them at Waco was because they expected *that bunch of bible-thumpers* to give up immediately, thence to get the MP5s waved in their faces.
And don't forget that many of the worst BATF goons are themselves of Mexican descent, and often more sympathetic to the invaders than to their contemptable Anglo political leadership.

The *Stun Pen* versions are even more discrete, and just as effective. They fit very nicely in a rolled-up newspaper. And they're priced very reasonably, at $30-$40 apiece.

Looks like we have some commies in the pro-illegal demonstration. And (as usual?) they are comparing supporteres of a reasonable immigration policy to Nazis.

Our national message has to be, IMHO, that immigrants are welcome, but illegal immigrants will be treated as the criminals they are. A healthy immigration/guest worker (green card) program should be in place that is in keeping with our true nation needs, with the intent that those immigrating and looking to citizenship are assimilated as American citizens with an understanding of our laws, constitution and an ability to speak the language...otherwise, no citizenship. Such a program then needs to be strictly adhered to and enforced (and I believe the enforcement has to come first), with no amnesty or free pass for the ones already here illegally. The borders then need to be firmed up, controlled, and seriously patroled to prevent illegal entry.
As to enforcement and the illegals themselves, IMHO, the answer is (new ones or older ones already here) to deport every one of them, place thier names and fingerprints on a list, and then make sure they know if they are caught illegally back in the country they will go to prison and spend a minimum of five years building those buildings, digging those ditches, harvesting those crops for free...before they again are deported with the message that the next infraction brings on a ten year sentence of the same.
Then, we need to have just as stiff an enforcement on those Americans who knowingly hire the illegals, stiffly fining them to begin with, and building on that depending on the nature and size of the infrction, to where they also serve time in the gray rock motel.
Such a program may be somewhat painful at first...but not nearly as painful as what is coming if we do not get a firm handle and control on this issue.

Sounds like a plan. I'm against all the profligate spending of this government, but I'd be willing to open my wallet to help put this plan into action.
Wasn't one of the problems with the Hun that the Romans gave them citizenship if they'd fight in the army so the Hun just moved on in and made themselves at home? Didn't the dilution of Roman Citizenship lead to the "Bread and Circuses" problem and ultimately to the dissolution of the Republic?
I really believe the right guy could come along and get elected Caesar right about now.
