That is not an apology for comparing Guantanamo to Hitler, Pol Pot or Stalin. It is a reiteration of them.

Where's the apologies to the US Troops?

Satire?

"horrific atrocities that were occuring, and continue to occur, in Guantanamo." Even as he apologizes he sticks his foot further into his mouth. What atrocities of any kind have occurred at Guantanamo? Of these, if Durbin can name any, which are "horrific?" Has anyone died? Lost limbs? Had bones broken? Been beaten? The people held at Gitmo are prisoners of war. They were intent on killing our soldiers, and some may, in fact, have done so. I tire of Durbin and his ilk trying to advise the military (whom they loathe) about how to do their job. Sen. Durbin, may I suggest that you just STFU for a while?

Funny! Also tragic.
I wonder how Durbin would feel if I said something like "the contemptuous sentiments behind Durbin's remarks make me think about that sc*mbag who fragged two of his fellow soldiers last week. But I'm not comparing or equating the two . . . "

Folks, please......this is a satirical piece.
However, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if Durbin Laden issued such a statement.

You get a pole about 12 feet long - you tie Durbin to it - then you get some roofing tar and you swear the tar all over Durbin - then you break open a feather pillow and dump the feathers on to the tar - then you pick up the pole and parade the Sh*t Head around Washington and dump Durbin - the pole and the tar and feathers into the Patomac.
He does not serve this country well.
