This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
We praise Your Name and thank You for Your mercy and goodness. We are grateful that You have shone Your Light into our lives and revealed our sinfulness to us that we might know of our need for a Savior. We thank You for Your love for us that You would send Your own precious Son to teach us how to live and then to die for our sins. Our words can't express the depths of our hearts, O Lord, but we ask You to take our lives and mold them to Your purposes for the glory of Your Kingdom and the edification of Your people.
Father, we seek Your blessings for President Bush. Keep his eyes stayed on You that he may remain faithful even as he is reviled, sometimes for his open confession of You as his Lord and Master. Let him overcome the lies that are perpetrated against him and let the authors of deception be revealed for what they are. Keep the President strong and steadfast, being led by the hope and joy of his relationship with You. Let no weapon formed against him or his family prosper that they may be safe from harm.
Lord, we always remember those brave men and women who serve our nation in the armed forces. Fortify them with wisdom and courage; give perception to their leaders, both military and civilian, that they may be victorious in the fight against the forces of evil.
Father, we pray for our nation. It seems that more and more of our people are walking in darkness. Many call Your Name and yet lie and do not live by truth; others seek to deny You altogether and to have Your very Name removed from public discourse. There are those who do not revere life and are eager to sacrifice even the unborn to fulfill their dark purposes. We have become a people who seek pleasure more than purity; are driven more by greed than by noble causes; who put self above all else. Lord, we need the renewing touch of Your Holy Spirit in our land, reviving in us a desire to please You and to follow Your commandments. Let those of us who worship You as the One True God be strengthened in our faith and in our walk with You that we might witness to Your mercy, Your goodness, and Your might. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee. ~ Psalms 67:3
Thanks kayak. Beautiful prayer.
Thank you for joining with us in prayer.
To God be the glory!
Amen, dear FRiend, Amen.
Amen. May God hear our prayers, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior
AMEM KAYAK AND AMEN ALL!
GRACE TO ALL BRETHREN!
"Help, Lord."
- Psalm 12:1
The prayer itself is remarkable, for it is short, but seasonable,
sententious, and suggestive. David mourned the fewness of faithful men,
and therefore lifted up his heart in supplication-when the creature
failed, he flew to the Creator. He evidently felt his own weakness, or he
would not have cried for help; but at the same time he intended honestly
to exert himself for the cause of truth, for the word "help" is
inapplicable where we ourselves do nothing. There is much of directness,
clearness of perception, and distinctness of utterance in this petition of
two words; much more, indeed, than in the long rambling outpourings of
certain professors.
The Psalmist runs straight-forward to his God, with a well-considered
prayer; he knows what he is seeking, and where to seek it.
Lord, teach us to pray in the same blessed manner.
The occasions for the use of this prayer are frequent. In providential
afflictions how suitable it is for tried believers who find all helpers
failing them. Students, in doctrinal difficulties, may often obtain aid by
lifting up this cry of "Help, Lord," to the Holy Spirit, the great
Teacher. Spiritual warriors in inward conflicts may send to the throne for
reinforcements, and this will be a model for their request. Workers in
heavenly labour may thus obtain grace in time of need. Seeking sinners, in
doubts and alarms, may offer up the same weighty supplication; in fact, in
all these cases, times, and places, this will serve the turn of needy
souls.
"Help, Lord," will suit us living and dying, suffering or labouring,
rejoicing or sorrowing.
In him our help is found, let us not be slack to cry to him.
The answer to the prayer is certain, if it be sincerely offered through
Jesus. The Lord's character assures us that he will not leave his people;
his relationship as Father and Husband guarantee us his aid; his gift of
Jesus is a pledge of every good thing; and his sure promise stands, "Fear
not, I WILL HELP THEE."

GODSPEED!
Amen, Kayak, and thank you again.
We know and confess that the king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord. We know that You, Lord, turn it wherever He wishes.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord ("One nation, under God.")
Bless You, our Lord, for being the Inner Guide in all our President's decisions.
We bless You in the name of Your precious Son, Jesus. Amen.

Dear Jesus, forgive us for our transgressions, for so many have been duped to accept evil as good, and goodness as evil..Our nation is spiraling downward in our moral values, may we, through Your help stem this evil that has enveloped this nation and the world............We pray for our President Bush, his wife and family, keep them secure in their faith..Strenghten and nourish them daily that they may overcome the powers of darkness....We pray for the service people, who daily risk their lives so that we may enjoy freedom and yet there are many who ridicule them for that..Have mercy, dear Jesus, on all of us...In deep gratefulness, we pray
