Senator Dick Durbin on C-span [Repeating and Defending his Nazi/Gulag Comments]
CSPAN2 ^

Posted on 06/16/2005 3:00:18 PM PDT by roylene

Dick Durban is on the floor of the senat again - restating what he said on the 14th. Blaming the right wing media. He just said he respects the troops - LOL! What an ass he is!!! He said what he said was not an insult to the troops.

President Bush was the leader of a failed economy, according to Jim Moran...

According to Ray McGovern, the reason we went to war is for:

O - oil
I - Israel
L - logistical base to dominate the world (paraphrase)

"Ariel Sharon is wrapped around the finger of the President."

Maxine Waters kept saying that "something is going to happen...you've given us inspiration." Is she talking about impeachment?

They keep talking about evidence, but their evidence is based on opinions.

Is she talking about impeachment?

That's where all this is leading.

Trent Lott was forced to resign his leadership position for comments that were far less offensive and certainly less seditious then Durbin's.

The Republicans don't play rough.

I just never thought anyone would have the audacity to make public references to it.

It's time to lobby for a censure resolution against Durbin.

Agreed!

I saw in FR's "breaking news" section that the dems are planning to censure Semsenbrenner. Why is the GOP not doing this to Durban?

You nailed it. The Republicans are a bunch of neutered girly-men starting with the WH spokes-sissie.

Actually, you just hit on the tactic. The answer is to have a Republican in leadership position tell the press, "This is the old Democrat tactic that they've been working since the Clinton Administration -- refuse to apologize, back down, and ride it out."

Make that a talking point for a few days until it resonates with the public.

Force the Dems to come up with another tactic, this one having been lost to them by exposure.

The Republicans fail to openly analyze these dem tactics and political issues and properly educate the public. Perot's approach with the charts was very effective although he ultimately became a joke. Newt is also very effective at playing professor and providing an analysis people can understand. What we need are more Newts (without the condescending facial mannerisms) and Perots (without the twangy voice) that plainly explain what's going on. These dem tactics are predictably lame and should be effectively exposed to reach that middle 20% out there. Forget the 30% leftist diehards.

Quote
"Durbin's outrageous slander of our military, picked up by al-Jazeera and broadcast to our enemies around the world, puts lie to the claim of Democrats that they are concerned about anti-Americanism, our "image" abroad and our soldiers killed.

Make no mistake, it is demagogues like Durbin, Dean and Reid who supply the content in the messages delivered by terrorists who want to kill us to incite their true believer jihadists.

How many more service personnel and civilians will be maimed or killed because of the hated of things American by political hacks?

Democrat is their name, and treason is their game"
Amen!

Haven't heard anything from McLame, but I saw somewhere today, a letter from Paul Galanti who was also a prisoner of war in Viet Nam. Galanti ripped him to shreds.

Paul Galanti's reponse to Senator Durbin is here.

I'd rather see this statement: "This is the old Democrat tactic that they've been working since the Nixon Administration -- assisting America's wartime enemies by telling lies about atrocities by American troops."

not just your own theory, pal... my belief is, having dean in the catbird seat makes her look moderate by comparison, perhaps even leading to a contrived showdown between her thighness and the screamer, where the screamer is "deposed" and hillary is to thank for this.

(and those collectivist borg-crats just love that kinda shit, monarchic succession and all... let's their heroine fm chappaqua ride in on the white horse to save the party/country. Remember Hitler, Stalin, Mao, even the blind kowtowing to Clinton... these Godless ones ironically love to make a god out of their leaders)
