Yesterday President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney and their wives attended a Congressional Picnic at the White House.
Today President Bush attended National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast at Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C along with members of Congress and former Cabinet Minister Tom Ridge.
The President also voiced doubts over the elections taking place in Iran The June 17th presidential elections are sadly consistent with this oppressive record. Iran's rulers denied more than a thousand people who put themselves forward as candidates, including popular reformers and women who have done so much for the cause of freedom and democracy in Iran.
Later in the day he spoke about Medicare at the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington.
It was also announced that the President will welcome Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Ja'afari to the White House on June 24, 2005
Vice-President Dick Cheney was due to meet Canadian Agriculture Minister Doug Horner first on the menu was said to be discussions regarding reopening the border to Canadian cattle.
U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, holds a press briefing with reporters in advance of her trip to the Middle East
The Presidents father the Former President Bush is in Weimar, in the eastern region of Germany.
Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell and former prime ministers Bob Hawke of Australia and Mahathir Mohamad of Malaysia are attending a global leaders forum in Kuala Lumpur.
Unlikely political allies, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Hillary Clinton join forces to push for a new medical records bill which will allow hospitals to share patient information they said is necessary to prevent life-threatening mistakes, during a joint press conference at George Washington University Hospital in Washington.
Apologies to those who it may offend for posting the photos of Hillary that follow but if I had cropped them it would have looked strange and would IMHO be doing the very thing that we Conservative criticise the democrats of censoring and presenting news in a bias fashion.

Wow! Our 'W' looks great and relaxed in his short sleeve white shirt. Thanks, snugs, for this great picture and for all the work you do that brings smiles to the rest of us.

They are incredibly nice scenes from British landmarks, on the left side is the scene colored in perfectly and the page on the right is just the outline, so the kids can try to match the quality of the scene on the left. They are very very nice, and I think, very challenging for a youngster to try and match. Just the type of challenge we don't see here in the United States anymore. Our over bearing Politically Correct leftist establishment in our education system would never allow these coloring books, simply because they might be too challenging for some of our challenged children.
I love them :-)

How clever...Mike is right...I don't think I've seen anything like that here...maybe they have them in an arts supply store..
To: MJY1288
LOL....it's hard enough for the kids to color inside the lines....

i LOVE those pictures of him in that white shirt !!!! :D
laura always looks pretty in white too.

I got them in the local chemist, not an art shop or even a children/toy shop. I have seen them before in what we call pound shops I think you call the 99cents or something similar and there is a whole series of them farm animals, wild animals, birds and the ones that I sent to Mike.
I think of them as colouring books for older or intelligent/artistically minded children.

They were all in white except Dick Cheney I think he is an independent spirit LOL. I cannot imagine anyone from his wife to a political adviser telling him what to wear or what goes with what.

I'm a firm believer in a "Challenge"..... I believe that nothing that someone else has done is unattainable, I believe that anything anyone else has done can be done better, and I also believe that this belief must be passed on to our children, otherwise we will end up like every other nation that challenges were unfair and that rewarding excellence only hurts those who couldn't meet the challenge.
I firmly believe that when Excellence is no longer rewarded, Excellence will no longer exist!!!

Why was LINEAZeta banned, nothing on this thread or this FReepers home page would qualify for a banning?
I don't want to make waves, and I seldom speak out for "Zotted" members, but in this case I would like an explanation!!!

How true Mike it is something that the western world is loosing and we must not let it happen.
This is one of the reasons I am in favour of the 11plus in the UK when children are selected to go to either secondary school or the more academically minded grammar schools.
It gives them that competitiveness at crucial time in their development which IMHO will remain with them throughout their lives and enable those who have it to achieve in the future to suddenly have to do it at 16 or 18 is too late IMHO.

It's awesome alright! Kinda takes your breath away, doesn't it? :o)
I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger reaction to it, though.
Is everybody asleep out there? LOL!
