I heard that reporter's piece on Fox this am. The FBI should take Aruba apart, inch by inch, and get the Aruban police to administer sodium pentathol to all four, or else beat the tar out of them. This won't happen, but it should.

As to your question above: I thought about it, but remember one of the brothers (I can't remember which, it is in this long thread somewhere) said that he received an email from VDS about an hour after he (the brother) got home that night/morning? The email said something like "I have something to tell you..." so I suspect something happened to Natalee while in the presence of VDS and not afterwards with the brothers. But who knows now. This is certainly a web woven of high intrigue.

I thought it was Satish that got the email. Which would fit with my suggestion. Natalee would have still been with VDS and Deepak, priot to the email going out.

My wife and I have been diving all over the Caribbean since 1992, been traveling longer than that. We now avoid the Eastern Caribbean and have for a long time. Didnt like some things I saw and experienced in Nassau,Costa Rica, and Cayman. Our further travels in Central America convinced me that increasingly, Americans are targeted.Drugs are destroying this world.

We only go to Cozumel now. The diving is world class and it is safe. Yes, there is a Carlos and Charlies there but only idiots go there.

What's "amiss" down there is they don't do things in their justice system the way we do...and they are VERY proud of it.

This should be a profound lesson for any parent who is even thinking of sending their teenager out of this country on vacation to Aruba.

That newspaper smirking puppet spokesperson, Julia, can try and laugh it off as an "isolated" incident, but that is no excuse for keeping Natalee's parents in the dark, all in the taunting name of "that's the way we do things here". How backward is that? It's beyond cruel.

Aruba should understand that we have beautiful beaches in this country. (Gulf Shores Alabama comes to mind.) We don't need theirs. When our youth groups are planning a vacation, there will be more than one parent who will recall how Aruba "does things their own way".. and strongly recommend they take their business elsewhere. American's aren't as stupid as they think we are.

We have a way of doing things ourselves and they are NOT going to like it.

There were varying descriptions of Joran, ranging from model student athlete to casino playboy (he met Natalee in a casino). He is tall, handsome, and looks older than his age. His friends, Satish and Deepak, also sons of wealth and privilege, were described to me by a local islander "as bad men who mistreat women." One scenario has the trio involved in a seedy scam that involves meeting attractive female tourists, learning the date of their departure, and taking advantage of them on their final night in town.

Shen someone asked about the brothers the reply was that they were middle upper class or something like that. I just remember them downplaying and wealth for Sloot and the brothers.

Friends of the family concluded about that official that "no sum of money could make him smart enough to help us."

I wonder how many unsolved beach killings or disappearances of girls we have here.

I also heard/read that both boys said they dropped VDS off with Natalee. I think that spot, somewhere a little ways from the motel, was searched as being where the two brothers left Joran and Nat. Has that story been debunked, too? There is so much to read on this thread and other sites.

But, would that explain why the supposed witness said they saw "two men (boys) forcing a woman into a car."? I mean, if something had happened to her or she were hurt/drunk/drugged, or something else, would she be being forced, or perhaps rather carried? I am not sure I am following how you are putting this together. Can you explain.

Oh my....how totally I agree with you! No country, no matter what the "laws" are should treat the parents of a missing child as Natalee's parents are being treated. Laws may be different. But HUMANS and PARENTS should be given the same consideration and respect for such a situation no matter where they are. In that aspect we are not different.

And rant all you want. This is a very rant-worthy tragedy.

Yet that girl who is writing from Aruba said that supposedly Natalee had been kept in his basement. If that is true, why was he let go? They are holding SGC. Why not Lorenzo? Anyone have an answer?

Her friends said that she was NOT drunk. I doubt that she was drugged, so I think she struggled with them which caught the attention of the witness.

I wouldn't do that, because neither you nor I really know anything for certain. So why argue just theories??? Chill. I just wanted to understand how you were reaching your point.

But, hey....Have a Happy Fathers day, though...If you are a Dad. LOL. I feel so badly for Natalee's father, and step-father. No celebration for them today. But, maybe something will be discovered that will give them all great joy. I pray for that.
