Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said yesterday he will force another vote to end a filibuster of President Bush's pick to be ambassador to the United Nations at the end of this week....

No votes on Fri so the showdown must be today..

I was the last caller on the Conyers segment. I got in an invitation for folks to join us at our patriotic counter-demonstration at the White House today against Conyers' rally and petition delivery. I also mentioned that Conyers was doing what the Democrats did during Vietnam: undermine our troops and help the enemy. I pointed out that one of the witnesses at his hearing today, Joe Wilson, was discredited by the September 11 Commission and was thrown overboard by John Kerry from his position as advisor to his campaign as a result.

I asked Conyers if he was interested in the truth like he said, would he be inviting Gen. Tommy Franks to testify. Franks has said that Hosni Mubarak told him Saddam would use WMDs if attacked.

I also pointed out to Conyers that if he read further down the DSM he would see the British were concerned that Saddam would use WMDs if attacked, so the purpose of his hearing was flawed.

Not sure how much of this made it on the air as I had the sound down, but I spoke quickly.
