Good for Senator Jeff. And the bonus is that about 2 million more people saw and heard what he said compared to the number that would have been watching Senate proceedings. Glad to hear they didn't have any 'loyal opposition' from the dark side on there to try to prevent him from saying anything (loyal to what is another question.)

"Will Voinovich break down and sob uncontrollably on the Senate floor?"
I sure hope he remembers his metamusal.

Thanks, Old Friend. I just called and spoke with Cornyn's office. The gentleman was very kind. I told him that my father served in the air force in the 1960s and a cousin of mine just finished a year-long tour in Iraq. I asked him to tell Cornyn that I'd like him to denounce Durbin's remarks on the Floor today because the comments disrespect our military personnel.

A little factoid to ponder while we get underway!
Did you know?
Date: June 23, 1967
Member: Thomas J. Dodd (D-CT)
Charge: Use of his office (1961-1965) to convert campaign funds to his personal benefit. Conduct unbecoming a senator.
Result: Censured. Defeated for reelection.
Vote: 92-5

LOL....just called Voinovich's office.
Asked the guy who answered if he'd ever seen Voinovich cry over all the murdered people in Rwanda, Sudan, Zimbabwe.
Suggested that since they were black people they weren't worth a cry.
Also asked if they all sit around and cry together each afternoon.

I thought I saw Durbin giving the Hitler Salute during the Pledge of Allegiance.

Called Senator Sessions office too. Thanked him for standing up for our men and women in uniform.
So far I have blasted Leahy and Voinovich this morning in addition to my praising Sessions.

On Washington Journal right now, is Rep. Conyers ('RAT-MI). Dem callers are sucking up to him and his heroic work.
To: OldFriend
Good job! Maybe Jeff should run for President?

That's a good idea and then they could censure all the Rats for being just like him.
