Company Announces Deal With Runaway Bride to Make a Movie About Her Life

Runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks made a deal with a company that is pitching a movie about her life to networks - annoying officials who spent thousands of dollars searching for her.

ReganMedia, a New York multimedia company, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution for a story in Thursday's papers it has acquired all media rights to the "life stories" of Wilbanks and her fiance, John Mason.

The company did not say whether any money had changed hands.

"I am looking forward to developing the scripted project with Wilbanks and Mason," company president Judith Regan said in a statement. "Theirs is an unexpected and compelling story of love and forgiveness that has certainly taught me a thing or two."

Now here is a couple that could play the part of Jennifer and John.

All they have to do is act naturally.....

Well that's a relief. I was just thinking the other day (as I was channel surfing past Lifetime, Oxygen, etc.) that there weren't enough movies out there depicting pycho women as sympathetic characters.

Will the movie include her shoplifting escapades?

OK, I can add this one to the long, LONG list of movies I will never see, even though I'm sure it will be a real nail-biter.

Yep. That would be the one. She's also the publisher of the Limbaugh and Howard Stern books.

As she is profiting from a CRIME, all monies received should be confiscated and given to the county (ies) involved in her search and rescue. Not one thing time should reward bad behaviour!

Well it didn't take the runaway bride to clear her head in order to sit down with her fiance and do an interview with Katie Couric, coming sooon to a tv near you. IMO her and the fiance are a couple of phoneys seeking fifteen minutes of strange fame in the style of Joey Buttafucco(sp?). Garbage in, garbage out. Sleezoid entertainment.

"Okay. I think the the state/federal government should be entitled to some of those profits to defray the costs of the massive search.
I did feel kinda bad for the neurotic thing. Now, with her trying to bank on it, screw her."

I second that! Any profits should cover the rest of the search and rescue bill they didn't pay. Loser parasites.

"Runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks made a deal with a company that is pitching a movie about her life to networks..."

And the alphabet networks wonder why they are losing audience. Keep showing this kind of crap and the septic tank will be overflowing before you know it!

Wouldn't it be illegal for her to profit off a crime like this? Son of Sam laws and all?
