CHICAGO -- Illinois Senator Dick Durbin says he won't apologize for comments comparing American interrogators at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to Nazis and Soviet gulags.
News of the Democrat's comparison created a buzz around the Internet today, fueled by sound bites of yesterday's Senate floor speech on radio talk shows. By this afternoon, Illinois Republican Party Chairman Andy McKenna asked Durbin to apologize.
Durbin says the Bush administration should apologize for abandoning the Geneva Conventions.
Human-rights activist groups and some lawmakers -- mostly Democrats -- want Bush to close the prison.
But administration officials say some of the people who have been detained at Guantanamo later return to fight against the United States.
Durbin is and always has been scum.
That would work, Illinois already has Osama Obama.
That is beyond unacceptable. If I were any senator and any member of my staff handled just one call like that, they'd hear the crash in Alaska.
He doesn't have to, it's already there.

I married a woman whose Father is a died-in-the-wool Democrat and a local politician (Mayor). The entire family is blind to the clinton degeneracy and criminality and hangs upon every mischaracterization by a dem leader, swallowing some of the most astonishing lies. It is a point of great depression for me to see otherwise rational people so blind to facts because 'they want to win again'. My wife has a standing order to not discuss politics or the news with her father or brother while in her presence. They know of this order and try to bait me at every opportunity. I've taken to using quips for bullet bytes. Even my wife gets a kick out of them.

Blood is something Durbin knows how to exploit. When the partial birth abortion bill was before the Seante, Durbin tried to float an alternate bill to ban 'almost all abortion' except where doen for 'the life and health of the mother' ... IOW, this piece of rotted excrement tried to pretend he was anti-abortion on demand but tried to hide his empowerment scheme of child slaughter in the same rhetoric the democraps have used for decades now! He was seeking to exploit the blood of innocent children slaughtered in all abortions by deceiving the American people. He is lower than whale poo and hasn't a clue that We The People are pissed when he slanders OUR military people, the military people who've come from OUR homes to risk all for OUR nation. The 'our' shouldn't include democraps like Durbin and Kennedy and Harkin and Boxsh!t and Hatellary, but it does because our military is honorable! But then, honor is something the democrap party lost long ago, when they chose to exploit abortion for their political empowerment scheme.
Washington is apparently populated by two types of creatures; pussies and traitors.
the simple fact that not one Rep has demanded his resignation is more unsettling than what DirtBagDurbin said. Our so called leaders in Congress are wimps and deserve no respect or our money for reelection. Durbin should be tried for treason and if found guilty, hung the next morning. Our brave Warriors are shedding their blood so that weak, pathetic men can stand and insult this Republic and shame our nation in the eyes of the world. If I was in Congress, I would seek this DirtBag Durbin out and punch his lights out. His actions are absolutely traitorous.
And the people of Illinois will elect this traitor again. Reminds me of Wash. DC and Marion Berry.
What do you expect? He was elected by the same yobs who put Barack Obama into office. Illinois is a lost cause. Hand it over to the Muslims and their Dhimmi stooges like Blago, Daley, and Durbin. The yob voters and their legions of ghostly allies (whose arise from cemeteries on election day) will probably vote this fool into office for another six years in 2006.
No doubt this will happen. The US will have a second civil war within 15 years. When it happens, it will be those who believe in Individual rights and limited government versus the evil-Socialist left. Trust me there are many more on our side. We have the Warriors on our side. The only way to save this Republic and the world is if the left is not defeated, but destroyed. When the 2nd Revolution starts, the left will be eliminated from this Republic. It will be us against them. They will lose the war and rightfully, their lives.
