I got to my precinct at 6:00 A.M. that day, waited in line nearly 2 hours + then made it to work only an hour late at 9:00 A.M. Everything was orderly, and everyone had I.D. There was some "observer" running around like crazy trying to find irregularities.

You should have seen all those Republicans who had never worked a day in there lives with company trucks and vehicles going to work after they voted before sunrise that morning.

Exit Poll Scenario:

An idiot with a clipboard walks up to a person exitting the voting location.

"Excuse me, sir." Says the idiot. "Did you happen to vote for the candidate of the Independent party?"

"No." Replies the person as he quickly walks away from the idiot.

"Cool! Another vote for Kerry!" Says the idiot as he skips away like a little girl while whistling France's national anthem.

There's only one precinct in my town, and I had a similar experience, even though it went like 35-65 Kerry. (They don't ask for ID, just have to say who you are and they cross off your name.)

One of Hilliary's hobby horses is equalizing waiting times. Someone showed that in Ohio the number of poll workers and age and condition of the equipment was about the same in urban areas as in suburban areas, yet the waits were longer in urban areas.

My polling day experience may shed some light. Where I voted there were two lines, one for last names, say A-L, the other for M-Z, obviously meant divide the population into approximately two equal groups. At the end of each line was a woman who would look your name up on the 11" by 17" fanfold print out. I had the good luck to be on the A-L line which was moving much more slowly than M-Z. The woman staffing our line was older, God bless her, and had a lot more trouble fanning through the list, finding a name, bringing a ruler under it and drawing a line than the woman staffing the first line.

I can't help thinking something like this is going on in the urban areas. Whatever the rigmarole to vote, it may be that the people staffing urban polling places are measurably less productive than their peers in suburban precincts.

Yeah, I saw a lot of that happening at mine too. God bless them, but they are unintentional fraud waiting to happen.

I firmly believe that the TV election day pollsters seek out 1) women with hairy legs and armpits, wearing "I hate men" buttons; 2) Men who come into the polling place holding hands with other men; and, other people wearing buttons supporting Democrats to poll.

Remember the TV pollsters called Florida for Gore in 2000 and the whole election for Kerry last year.

Their whole idea is to kill the morale of Republicans (particularly Republicans in the West) so that they will stay home.

I ate supper with my brother and sister-in-law on the night of the 2004 election. They were absolutely demoralized. I told them that these pollsters were liars and that GWB would win handily.

Never trust those bastards.

The reason the exits were off, Mitofsky said, is that interviewers assigned to talk to voters as they left the polls appeared to be slightly more inclined to seek out Kerry voters than Bush voters. Kerry voters were overrepresented in the poll by a small margin, which is why everyone thought that Kerry was going to win.

If they "spin" this "crock of crap" any more, we will all be covered in doo-doo.

No explaination, but a good one would be that Kerry voters sought out election sites that were being canvassed. Maybe even a leak as to where the poll watchers would be? This was raised right after the election. C'mon guys fess up. Did the pollesters get scammed?

You bring up some good points. There are many explanations for why he lost.

Quite frankly, I do not give a rat's a...er behind why, I just celebrate and thank God every-single-day-since-11/3/04 that that POgarbage is not now, nor will he ever be in our White House.

Poor Juan, I think that Brit has wacked him upside his noggin' so many times that he is getting a bit soft.
After he said that, did he flinch like he was about to get a slap?

I do not respond to polls.

I won't even respond to polls conducted by someone like Hannity or Rush or my bank or even the U.S.Census "long form".

Until they figure out how to take people like me into account, they're going to be wrong.

Suggestion. If you are tapped for an exit poll or called for a national poll, lie. You will have a far greater impact on the election then your single vote would ever have. If enough of us do it we can drive a stake into the heart of the entire process.
