Amber Alert Issued For Missing Girl In York County
COLUMBIA -- An Amber Alert was issued in South Carolina on Wednesday morning for a 2-year-old girl taken from the Lake Wylie area near the North Carolina state line. The State Law Enforcement Division said Trinity Nicole Casey was taken from a home in Lake Wylie about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The girl was described as 2 feet tall and weighing 20 pounds. She has blue eyes and was last seen wearing a rainbow-colored sun dress. The girl has a birth mark on the sole of her right foot that is oval shaped and about the size of a nickel, SLED said.
SLED and York County sheriff's deputies were searching for a white man in his late 50s or early 60s. He was described as weighing about 250 pounds, with dark hair and a long, dark beard.
The man was last seen wearing a gray shirt with stains on it. The man talks with a lisp, SLED said.
It was unclear whether the man was related to the girl, the York County sheriff's department said Wednesday morning.
The man was last seen driving a dark blue older model four-door car.
Anyone seeing the victim, the suspect or the vehicle is asked to call local police or the York County sheriff at (803)628-3158.
Dear Jesus Please keep that baby safe and lead the authorities to her.
Can you hit your ping lists please?
ping
They know what he looks like, what he's wearing right down to the stains, they know he has a lisp, and yet they don't know if he's related?
the news this morning said it wasn't known if he was a relative or not. didn't sound right to me, but that's what was reported
I wish they had a picture; has this been on FNC yet? They are usually pretty good about showing all the Amber Alerts.
Thank you for sending the link to the picture, lunarbicep.

The Hickey Family will hit the pews at St. Cajetan's tonight for this darling angel.

If it is known suspect speaks with a lisp, then the mother must know him. Ex-boyfriend?
I'm on the main hiway (US-5)that connects Cherokee County and York County. 15-20 miles from the scene. Will keep an eye out, and give any updates that I hear on the scanner. Thanks for the post.

YORK CO., S.C. -- Police issued an Amber Alert early Wednesday for a missing 2-year-old from York County.
WSOC-TV
Trinity Casey is two feet tall and weighs 20 pounds. She has blue eyes and was last seen wearing a rainbow colored sun dress.
The child disappeared about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers said the family was playing in the water when Trinity started walking back with a family member -- but when they looked back, she was gone.
Her mother, Jeanette Casey was hopeful but feared the worst.
"My biggest fear", said Casey, "is there is a big possibilty--but I'm not sure because I would have heard--is if she fell in."
"With a diaper on, it might be too heavy for her to come up," said Casey, "so if she did fall in we may not know for a while."
We're hopeful she wandered away and fell asleep," said York County Sheriff's Department's Lt. David Frye.
Police want to talk to the driver of a car that was seen in the area.
They're looking for a white man in his late 50s or early 60s.
They say he weighs about 250 pounds and has dark hair and a long dark beard. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt with stains on it.
State Law Enforcement Division says the man talks with a lisp. Agents think the man is driving a dark blue older model four door car.
Anyone who sees Trinity, the suspect or vehicle is asked to call local police or the York County Sheriff's Office at 803-628-3158.
LAKE WYLIE - State and local law enforcement officers are searching for a missing 2-year-old girl who disappeared Tuesday at her familys Lake Wylie waterfront home. The search is being conducted in the lake and on land.
Trinity Nicole Casey was last seen around 5:30 p.m. on the dock of her family home at 5100 Riverfront Road, said Capt. Glenn Williams of the York County Sheriffs Office. The girl had been swimming earlier, but family members had changed her clothes, he said.
Family members realized only a minute or two after she was last seen that she was missing, Williams said.
Family and neighbors said they searched for the girl until about 4 a.m. The family moved to York County from Illinois just a few days ago.
The State Law Enforcement Division issued an Amber Alert early this morning. Police have received tips based on the alert and are following up, Williams said.
Let us pray for little Trinity, that she will be found immediately.
