It doesn't surprise me that Montana has more than Mississippi. Many of them tend the sugar beet fields along the Yellowstone River between Sidney and Glendive, Montana.
I am just grateful (for the time being). The very last thing MS needs is an invasion of illegal Mexicans and bi-lingual education.
Can't imagine one benefit MS would gain by an invasion of illegal Mexicans. Not one.
I think it's only a matter of time. I have a lady friend that I converse with from time to time via e-mail who is a pre-school teacher in western Tennessee, and she said that most of her pupils are children of illegal immigrant field workers.
bump for reference
Feeling good about your citizens having more leisure time as the illegals take the jobs that Americans used to do. Construction, agriculture...well, any service employees should worry. I see it and hear about it all the time in AZ.
We have poor blacks and poor whites. We do not need illegals to take jobs away from our own folks. Thank God for summer heat and humidity; maybe that's keeping 'em away.
It's not just poor people who lose their jobs. I know of whole construction crews making decent livings, being let go to be replaced by crews of illegals who work for about one third their pay. That's just one example. And it doesn't get much hotter than in AZ...109 today...114 about 3 weeks ago.
Those crews ought to report the companies who hire the illegals, then raise hell about it on TV, contact Senator Kyl and call the border patrol non stop while picketing the construction site. It's maddening because it's ILLEGAL.
well...they are sure here in Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina, Arkansas.
people who watch this sort of thing think that is where most of the post 1990 illegals have gone
Maybe Ms is too much like being back home for em.
Poverty has it's plusses. Maybe MS isn't a rich enough target area. They're avoiding it and LA for some reason. Hawaii is understandable: they can't get there.
They're moving into manufacturing as well. I have a nephew who worked at a plastics extrusion plant in the East Valley and a sister working at a plant that produces packaging materials - boxes, mainly - on the southwest side of the Valley.
Both plants are full of illegals.
And our govt. keeps BSing us about this issue. This country is being sold out and given away.
Public school funding is financed in part by ADA (average daily attendance), and this article does not mention that at all.
