LARGO - The long-awaited results from Terri Schiavo's autopsy will be released Wednesday morning, Pinellas County officials announced today.
The brain-damaged woman died at her Pinellas Park hospice on March 31, two weeks after the removal of her feeding tube. During the course of the legal battle, allegations surfaced that Michael Schiavo abused Terri. Those complaints had previously been dismissed in court, but the autopsy is expected to settle that question for good.
The autopsy is also expected to reveal what condition Terri was actually in when she died. Her parents insisted that she was minimally conscious, but most medical experts agreed that her apparent responses were involuntary movements.
The autopsy was performed by Dr. Jon Thogmartin, the Pinellas-Pasco medical examiner. He is expected to talk at the 11 a.m. press conference Wednesday.
I heard that Mark Fuhrman's book will be out in about two weeks.
What is even more of an unjustice is that to this day the parents have no idea where their daughters remains are. They have no where to go to lay flowers, pay their respects, or just spend time with Terri. It is disgusting!
He knows how to get to the heart of the story. I forgive him for the OJ fiasco, it was not all his fault.
Prayers he puts Michael Schaivo in jail like he did Michael Skakel.(sp)
It is reasonable to call into question the results of the autopsy because the woman was starved and dehydrated to death. Naturally, that is going to have an impact on how her body's tissues, et all will 'appear' during an autopsy. (I have a feeling very few autopsies are done on people who were dehydrated or starved to death.)
It's interesting how often 'medical experts' disagree on issues.
*sigh*
The spin never ends, does it?
News Max is letting you reserve your copies now. I am betting when it comes out Fuhrman will be on Hannity's show to promote the book. Sean got pretty close with the Schindlers during their ordeal.
Yes, especially since Dr. Wecht (contacted by Terri's parents) was refused permission to observe the autopsy. That is suspicious.

Trust me, Dr. Wecht is not all that great. A pompous ass, in my opinion.
And besides, he's now the target of a federal investigation.
The results of the autopsy can show two very important pieces of information; 1. the condition of her brain. Several medical experts were contending that her brain had atrophied to just a "bag of water" and therefore, starving her to death wouldn't hurt her. This judgement was made without the benefit of a recent CT scan, by the way. 2. evidence of healed bone breaks. There had been claims of physical abuse by Michael Schiavo, but he would never allow an independent doctor to examine her.
One thing the autopsy could show was whether it is true that a number of her bones were broken earlier by her husband. Also, whether her neck bones were damaged around the time she went into the coma. It wouldn't necessarily prove anything, but it is a matter of interest.
Or the coronor could conclude that such earlier damage is irrelevant to her death, and therefore not mention it.
Would that they would call it what it was, MURDER.
No Sh!t. However, there is a time and place for everything - even sarcasm.
You need to relax.
We can only keep our fingers crossed.
That maybe true. Still, the fact that the parents' choice was not allowed to even observe is odd and suspicious, considering the circumstances.
Fuhrman's book is out on 6/28. It's been on Amazon for a few weeks. He was already on Hannity's show to promote it.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.
This is the perfect thread for that thing you didn't comprehend ("crap").

Well, there is no real requirement that the parents' expert be allowed to observe. Would have been nice if Mr. Schiavo had nothing to hide, but the fact that he and the Schindlers have such bad blood between them, it's not surprising.
An autopsy may reveal fractures, but it may not necessarily be conclusive as to how those fractures developed.
