Today is the 230th Birthday of the nations Guardian. Kinda disapointing that Freepers didn't either know it or acknowledge it. Any way Thanks to the barve men and women, past and present that have been willing to stand for what really matters. Freedom.
Especially considering that the event concerned has been acknowledged on FR.
You may claim the service, but you crap all over everything it stands for with your liberal, "It's all about me, me, me!!!" attitude.
You refuse to acknowledge that other veteran FReepers beat you to the punch, as they will everyday at the Canteen. Instead, you whine that it took you to post this news, which if you'd bothered to search, would have revealed the fallacy of that argument.
I don't mock veterans, I admire them, as they are the same as me. But you sound like somebody who came here looking to stir up a fight over nothing. The last veteran who was so whiny and self-centered was John Kerry...
Sincerely,
US Navy (founded 13 October 1775)
The search engine is your friend, putz.
For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, "The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me." -- Romans 15:3
Ok, First oof, where did I say freeper monkeys? I said I was disapointed it wasn't already posted, big difference. It seems me that a defensive mind set here is entrenched, given I've alreday been called a cousin to a DU denizien. And the n tred i want to be a tribute to our Army has been besmirched.
Your attitude is a perfect example of just what I meant. Canteen? So what? IF you don't frequent the canteen you wouldn't know that would you Mr. All Seeing Eye of Freeperdom? Your attitude to those that have served isn't indicative of your approach to those that are I hope. I didn't come here for a fight, only to make sure it was acknowledged. the fight seems to be your idea, and i got a suggestion that you might find helpful. Clue follows: It's not dark where you are because the lights are off. Jerk.
You casually throw around accusations and names, looking for a fight. Well welcome to fight club. I served in the US Army, and I don't sit here and cry about not being recognized, because I know FReepers appreciate my service. For you to come in here and start **** because you claim to have served in the Army naturally leads me to believe you are a troll.
Oh, BTW: Your original post is open to every bit of suspicion because of the nasty demeanor you took with your ugly, accusatory tone in the opening. GI's don't whine unless it's among themselves.
Perspective is a problem for you I see.
Nah, whiny, accusatory posts are a problem. Until you figure that out and learn to behave like a real vet, stick with DU.
You are a complete and utter tool.
"You're losing fuel and taking fire there, Ratso! BAIL OUT! BAIL OUT!"
If all you have left is insults, I'm left with no other conclusion that you are a troll who appeared this morning with no other agenda than to start trouble among REAL veterans of the US Army.
Lemme guess, do you have three purple hearts too?
Come check this flamebait thread out, folks. Sounds like someone has an axe to grind.
Sorry, I don't know any barve men or women. I must live in the wrong subdivision.
I think you need to be more respectful and not so defensive.
Yeah, this guy seems to have missed his passive-aggressive support group meeting this week. At first we all suck because the Army's 230th birthday is nowhere to be seen on FR and none of the FReepers know that it's today. Then, upon seeing that many of us know today is the Army's birthday and that the occasion is being celebrated on another thread, we still suck because that thread is "only" the FReeper Canteen thread, which is one of the most (if not the very most) highly read and replied-to daily threads we have. And now we all suck even more because we don't like having fingers wagged at us for no reason. Geez. Somebody needs a nap. Or some Metamucil.
Life is rife with insults and disrespect already. Don't add to the stream and try not to dream any up. Assume the best of people and be respectful of those who stand with you in the fight for freedom every day.
