Miniature Horse Mauled By Pit Bulls Reward Offered To Find Dogs' Owner
SAN ANTONIO -- The Bexar County Sheriff's Department is trying to track down the owner of two pit bulls after the animals killed a prized miniature horse just south of San Antonio.
Miniature horse breeder Jeremy Beale said he found the horse, "Smokey," lying in the corner of his pen last Wednesday.
"He was breathing through a hole in his neck," Beale said. "His neck was completely full of puncture wounds. His muzzle was covered in puncture wounds."
Beale said he's worried the dogs will attack a child. He said he's warning his neighbors to be on the lookout for the two pit bulls that killed the 200-pound horse.
"They mauled him," said Beale. "There was no trying to eat him or anything -- they just chewed him up. They completely ripped off one ear right at the skull," he said.
Beale said one of the black pit bulls had a white chest and legs. He said both dogs appeared to be well cared for.
Beale said that Smokey's owners have offered a reward to help track down the owner of the pit bulls.

It's gonna be hard to sort this one out.
We need a DSA (Doggie Safety Administration) to start searching teacup poodles and chihuahuas to protect the law abiding from canine terrorism.

Where are the dog's owners? Why were the dogs controlled.
I'd take the dogs' owners to the cleaners if my prized miniature horse was mauled by those savage beasts...
The horse's owner got close enough to the dogs to get a description, so he was also close enough to shoot them. It's legal in most jurisdictions to shoot dogs that are harassing livestock or running deer. BTDT.

Pit bulls were originally bred to attack bulls tied in pits, for sport. They must have felt they died and went to heaven when they found this poor pony.
2 pit bulls make a pack. And this owner let them get loose and they did just what they were supposed to.
Sometimes I feel like a charter member of PETA when I read stuff like this. Wipe out humanity, not the animals. (that's sarcasm)
