Other techniques included a puppet show mocking al-Qaeda and taping photos of September 11 victims to detainees' trousersHow cruel! Impeach Bush!

Wow...how insensitive. /s off
I certainly hope that the White House doesn't cave on this. After all, these detainees still have their heads and lives intact...
...though being forced to listen to Christina Aguilera certainly qualifies as torture in my book. ; )

If they wanted to seriously torture him they would have resorted to Barry Manilow.

I wonder where all the whiners who say we are mistreating the Gitmo dudes are when innocents are being beheaded on TV? Due to this I find it immensely difficult to give a darn about 'Gitmo abuses.'

What they ought to do is tape pictures of the Moslem victims to these jackass's trousers. Of course they'd have an excuse for that too.

What i want to know is this- did these techniques result in any information, or were these "professionals" as utterly ineffective as these procedures would indicate?
Yes or no- did this lead to useful intelligence?

Those scum don't deserve to hear our anthem. Instead, they should be subject to MTV for 24 hours a day. They should be told the god they believe in is a fantasy, a crutch for the weak-minded. Close gitmo now, and save all the taxpayers some money; ship the detainees to the nearest public high school!

Hillary, Gore & Kerry speech replays would have sufficed- apparently sound torture has not been fully implemented yet.

Probably not... maybe the best thing to do would be to outsource the interrogations to a Muslim country.

If there was any puppet sex involved in the show, would that be against the Geneva Convention?

Here's how the anti-Bush logic works:
It's not that all Gitmo detainees are INNOCENT,
it's that ONLY THE ONES WE ABUSE ARE INNOCENT,
As though this Administration has an unerring instinct to FIND and SINGLE OUT
FOR BAD TREATMENT , ONLY the innocent. Chew on that logic for a while.
One can easily transfer this conceit to the war in Iraq, where the same thing is assumed.

Child's play.
If they really wanted to inflict pain, they'd make them watch the Billy Jack trilogy.

To quote
James Lileks :
According to the log, his handlers at one point perform a puppet show
satirizing the detainees involvement with al-Qaeda.
So Doug is part of the torture crew, then. From the ever-prescient Pythons:
Vercotti: Doug (takes a drink) Well, I was terrified.
Everyone was terrified of Doug. I've seen grown men pull their own heads off rather than see Doug.
Even Dinsdale was frightened of Doug.
2nd Interviewer: What did he do?
Vercotti: He used... sarcasm.
He knew all the tricks, dramatic irony, metaphor, bathos, puns, parody, litotes and... satire.
He was vicious.
