Loud shake and rumbling this morning...
Well, that's always been my philosphy for the early morning dalliance...( :-D
Did not feel a thing! I was SLEEPING and he was out shopping at Target in Mission Valley.
See you later today.
FRiend let me tell you. A 7.0 ain't nothing.
Now when you get a 9.0, THAT is an earthquake.
That is so sweet, Lainie. :-)
It was scary! See ya later! (Try to bring HIM!)
Thanks.
No problem.
California has it's own problems, being ripped in half. The central valley is a rift valley, eventually San Diego will be on the peninsula. But it's probably gonna take another ten million years or so.
Well, now, Fox has changed the designation from "mild" to "moderate."
"A moderate earthquake shook most of Southern California (search) early Sunday, rattling nerves along with homes and businesses. There were no immediate reports of any injuries or damage, authorities said."

I'm sure there will be further updates on injuries and/or damage.
They wanted to build a school up here on the (san andreas) fault line, but decided it was too dangerous, so they built Senior Citizen housing instead (I'm not kidding). My dad's trailer fell right off the jacks during the '84 or '85 quake (6.3?). Trailer parks are death traps here in earthquake country.
There is no doubt animals have sensitivities we can't (yet) understand.
The old saw about dogs knowing when their owners are coming home is true. I have a very haphazard schedule and my neighbor repeatedly tells me my dog knows when I'm coming back home and will change his behaviors about 24 hours before I get there.
After shocks:

Same in tornado and hurricane country. Or anywhere there are heavy duty thunderstorms like what we get from time to time.
I have a friend who owns a trailer -- not bad...rather spacious (probably a double wide). But no way would I have one.
I don't know if I posted it before, but here is another site, different info from the regular USGS site, you can see the readings from individual stations.

...and a pair of shorts that needed to be changed...other than that...
Well .. the 7.0 is the best I can do .. just lucky I guess.
I think it's Hugh Hewitt's fault. :)
"ten million years or so"
Uhhh .. the earth doesn't have 10 mil years - remember, "a new heaven and a NEW earth" ..??
moderate...CNN...there's a first time for everything...
