Why are people not flocking to New Hampshire?

All I ever see is schummer, clinton, rangel.

-----------------------------------------

All of whom have nothing to do with state and local tax issues.

And, as a veteran and a fine upstanding citizen of the state of NY, you are not allowed to own a pistol.

Oh, well done. I want to live there. NOT.

Want to know what I had to do to get my VA CCW? I showed them my DD-214. Done.

Oh, and we don't register our guns, at all. Not even pistols.

Very interesting, tell us more about the political landscape there.

Why is it blue?

Anyone knows that.

My point is that no one is seeing these senators and their effects on the state.

According to the NYT types, NY is the model for how the red states should be organized.

Actually you can own a pistol Upstate, for now, but the process for getting a permit is similar to getting a Top Secret clearance in the military. Have to provide references, get fingerprinted etc. Oh and of course there are several fees for filing the paperwork, getting fingerprinted, the passport style photo, etc etc... All this just to own a pistol. That isn't even concealed carry.

they are, and they are making those states more Democratic - North Carolina is a perfect example.

They keep trying don't they?

We just have to keep standing firm and get out every single pub to vote.

It's push come to shove, and we must never quit.

Are they real republicans? I mean, to the right of Hillary.

More like Hillary is to the Right of them!!!

Pataki is by far the most Liberal governor in the country. When I moved to NJ from NY I had a hard time hateing McGreevy because even he was way more Conservative than Pataki.

All I ever see is schummer, clinton, rangel.

They have nothing to do with state & local taxes; however, if they did I doubt they could do a worse job than Pataki

It is incredible that the state houses are pubs and built that state into the condition that it currently finds itself.

Out of the 35 Republican senators, not a single one of them can be considered even remotely Conservative. They all consistently vote in lockstep unison to raise taxes, increase spending & regulations

Agreed. I'm looking into moving to SC. Too small to be a nation and too large to be an insane asylum. I used to live there and loved it.

And what did PM promptly do when it moved it's headquarters from NYC back to Richmond? Endorsed marky Mark's raise of cigarette taxes form 25cents a carton to $3.00 a carton and refused to take a stand on Mimms proposed Delaware/New York style smoking ban.

with that said - a recent court ruling regarding NYS income taxes needs to be watched carefully. The ruling was that a telecommuter who lives in Tennessee but works for a NY company has to pay NY income taxes. That ruling is of major concern to me as my husband works for IBM - but never in New York. It's bad enough that Delaware is still taking a chunck of withholding from him because IBM has him "assigned" to a Dover office.....we already pay enough to DE and VA - I don't need NY adding to the problem.

Well, you guys in the Soviet New York might want to think about that, when you are sending folks to Albany.

Being the economic capital of the United States and the World is such a burden. While the cost of living and taxes are very high this is offset by us making more money and having more opportunities. I would'nt say its the percfect place to live for everyone but 20 million still live in NY state and an easy 10million in NYC as well. Its a great place to work and make money not really the best to retire.

Trust me, I try to do my part, but very few of the candidates that I vote for here seem to win. I moved back here because this is where the family is, but much more nonsense and I may have to reconsider things.

I fully expect NY to oneday say, since I own the place in Herkimer, I am a resident, and must pay NY income taxes.

At the same time, they will insist, since I live in VA, I am not a resident, and in no way can I qualify for a pistol permit, to carry my gun, on my own d@mn farm.

My point is that no one is seeing these senators and their effects on the state.

----------------------------------

Why would you suppose that, especially from the outside. Suburban and exurban NYers have zero input to Rangel's career and without the urban bloc the other two would not get elected. There is nothing we can do about the numbers. Why would you suggest that we don't know that?

About living in NY, in spite of the constant trashing by folks who in many cases have no genuine knowledge of the subject, it should be apparent to the thinking observer that the benefits out-weigh the negatives to a degree sufficient enough that intelligent, educated, family-oriented, conservative, religious people (a significant % of LI, for example) choose to raise their children here.

Maybe I'm not making myself clear.

I'm talking about your state senators that nobody outside of NY ever hears about, not your national office holders, who are all we ever see, and usually in your face, hard core libs.

As for the rest of your commentary I can see that you have exactly what you deserve.

Please stop those huge numbers of NYs from leaving and settling here.
Use your above points to educate them.
