W. Mark Felt and Joan Felt are like many fathers and daughters. Their roles have been reversed by time. The 61-year-old daughter now takes care of the 91-year-old father as his health falters, his twilight deepens.
......
One can easily imagine each being embarrassed by the other, so different were they then. The establishment father. The hippie daughter. And even more striking contrasts have emerged since Joan Felt became a public figure through her father's unmasking.
But who is Joan Felt? And where was she while her father was skulking in a Rosslyn parking garage confirming hunches about the Watergate scandal? Much remains unknown about this woman who has been catapulted into the national limelight at the center of the most riveting of political mysteries.
Some of what is known adds to the mystery: Joan Felt is a devotee of an unusual and controversial self-proclaimed guru who, in two California lawsuits and several public statements 20 years ago, was accused of sexual abuse, slavery, false imprisonment, assault and brainwashing that was said to include persuading people to give him all their money.
Asked about the guru today, Joan Felt says, "None of this has anything to do with the Deep Throat story." She won't talk about the guru's group, known as Adidam as well as the Johannic Daist Communion. Nor would she discuss the length and scope of her role within it. Earlier this month, when asked about it in a brief encounter outside her house, she said Adidam was like Buddhism.
Her name and home phone number are listed on the Internet as a contact for an Adidam Study Group in Santa Rosa, Calif., where she lives with her father and sons.....

But Martinez, who also did not know, says, "I'll tell you the truth: All of the longtime professors, they've all been counterculture or hippie-connected from years ago."
There you have it, folks. That is why higher education is so screwed up -- at least in CA.
This is actually a very interesting article on daughter who sounds like a real piece of work.
In some sense My history is the history of an Unenlightened person seeking Enlightenment. On the other hand, it is the history of an Enlightened Being transforming an Unenlightened being, while being always already Enlightened.
If I remember my Asian religion book learning, neither in Hinduism nor Buddhism do enlightened beings reveal and proclaim themselves . . . even when questioned directly. You're supposed to simply recognize it when you see it. I guess that's why Joan said it was kinda like Buddhism.
I wonder if he fathered any of her children?
I have decided to start a religious cult for dyslexic atheists. Our main tenet will be "There is no Dog!".
Word is he's relocated his headquarters.
"Jacky Estes, an actress who now lives in Novato, said that during the same year, she was living at the hot springs as one of Free John's "wives."
For about two months, she told The Chronicle, motion-picture cameras were set up in a basement room, and devotees were ordered to make pornographic films. Estes herself did not participate. But, she said, "I heard him telling men and women go downstairs and do it, and I saw the women crying hysterically afterwards."
"Everything that was done was interpreted a lesson about your own lack of spirituality," she said.
Estes also said she saw Free John's wife, Nina, come out of his house with a huge hunk of hair ripped out of her head, and a black eye.
"At the time, I was frightened and confused, and only later did I learn what the brainwashing process entailed," she said. "Twelve to 16 hours of my day were spent surrounded by cult members. You didn't watch TV or read magazines. It closes off your circuits to the rational process. Most members don't know anything about the inner violence of the innermost circle."

Divine Identity
I Am Reality Itself, I Am the Only One Who Is, I Am That which Is Always Already The Case, I Am the Non-Separate (Avatarically Self-Revealed, and Self-Evidently Divine) Person (or One and Very Divine Self, or One and True Divine Self-Condition) of all and All (Beyond the ego-I of every one, and of all, and of All).

Good grief. A "flower child" then, and a 61 year old child of the 60's today who wants a few million.
Ahem.....you may post your apology when convenient....regards..

Oh yes, all these "alternative" religions were part and parcel along with the Moonies and the Love Children. Right. "Love Children... Divorce Parents". uh-huh.
Looks like an ad for Wrigley's Double Dementia Gum.
