How To Make Firefox Even Faster

This should only be done on broadband NOT on ISDN or dialup:
Go to the address bar and type in "about:config" Look for the following lines:
network.http.pipelining = false network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 4 network.http.proxy.pipelining = false
and replace it with (click or double-click the line to change it)
network.http.pipelining = true network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 30 network.http.proxy.pipelining = true
This means it will make 30 requests at once and not wait for a reply to the request before making another request and you'll be able to load pages MUCH faster.

They are of similar format, I thought it would work. I've heard bad things about 8.0, what have you experienced?

what does it mean when I type about.config in the address window and it only says it can't find that site? It doesn't take me to the config screen.

Also
Don't type "http://" in the address bar, just simply "about:config". Or better yet, cut and paste it.

Browser defaults to that site.
In order to get this I had to go to Mozilla and download an extention with opens it up in the Help menu
