Hey anyone watching the race? Lets talk here. Moderator, if I screw this up, please erase it.
He sure didn't have his game face today.
Giacomo won the Derby, and Afleet Alex won the Preakness. They are both running in the Belmont.
Derby -- Giacamo (outta nowhere)
Preakness -- Afleet Alex (who should have run the Derby)
Hopefully, Afleet Alex wins it, I am with you. I missed the Preakness. Any horse that almost falls and goes on to win, is a true Champion in my book.
Make that "won" the Derby.
Ready and waiting!!!
1 1/2 miles!!! Its gonna be fun.
If you want to see the Derby and Preakness go to
http://espn.go.com/horse/triplecrown05/index.html
and click on the right where it says ESPN Motion.
That's why I love Charismatic - wins the Derby and Preakness and then breaks his leg in the Belmont and still runs 2nd. My kinda horse.
Trainer Tim Ritchey said it provides better access for the media. But there might be another factor: In the spring, several of Roman's horses were diagnosed with the strangles, a respiratory disease, in Florida.

Post time is 6:33pm eastern, 3:33pm pacific. :-)
Afleet Alex winning Preakness.
Guess it's not just a poor horse disease huh?
I don't have tv access.
Thanks, that looks better, then what I posted.
Afleet Alex for me!!!!!! But I am worried about the distance. If he does not win, I hope Giacomo wins.
Certainly not. Anywhere you have young horses congregated together, you can have Strangles.
No, not at all.
You working today?
