Seems it was one of the young men. They found her body. Prime Minister has confirmed.
I'm watching. So very sad, but expected in a way. Prayers for the family.
Sorry to hear about that!
Did they say where they found it, or how she was killed?
I take it Arooba doesn't have the death penalty?
Very sad....
Oh God.
son of a motherin....
very sad...
prayers for the family in this time of need....
I wonder why the news media was so confused about this? Our Albuquerque TV had breaking news last night to confirm that she was dead and that one of the men had confessed and were going to lead the police to her body today.
Crap.
That's so sad for the family. Prayers have gone up for them...
I was hoping they would find her alive but in my heart I did not think that would happen.
This is so very sad and I feel so sorry for the family.
In case you missed it.
Prayers for Natalee and her fmaily. So sad.
Dear God. Her parents must feel some sort of relief. Now, they can bury their daughter. God bless them all.
Tragic news. Horrible news. Prayers for her family.
More conflicting reports per Fox...
It sounds as if the body is still at the location, bio-father requested to be taken out to the location.
Now FOX says there is no body recovery effort underway.
Bio-Mother says she has not been told there is a recovery effort underway.
Aruba Prime Minster confirms that Natalee is dead.
In the latter 80's, I spent a week vacationing on Aruba. Even though I was with my sister, her husband and my husband, I felt safe almost anywhere on the island going around by myself. The place you had to be most aware of your surroundings was at the different hotel bars where the coke dealers hung out. They were always looking for tourists to sell their wares to. Oh, and on the roads because there were lots of goats and they had the right of way.
Even then, I felt safe. I haven't been on the net very much recently but this story caught my eye since I'd been there.
We rented a car and drove all over the island so saw some of the places most tourists don't ever see. The island itself isn't very pretty but the water is gorgeous and we took one of the day trips offered. I don't know where they found the jungle like cove where we ate home made sausage and beans. On the same excursion we did some scuba diving around the wreck, learned about Aruba's history and spent a good 8 hours sailing on the good side of the island.
During one of our mini-road trips, we found what we named 'flip-flop' beach since it looked to be the place where all of the flip flop shoes ever lost in the Gulf of Mexico and along the East Coast found their way there.
Sorry for reminiscing. The Aruba I remember is different than the one now. Heck, then you didn't have to watch your purse because it was safe and now...murder.
My prayers go out to her family and I hope they give the murderers full justice.
