I must have missed the month when they were celebrated.
Was it called, "White Classical Music Month?"
To: leadpenny
Well there are Classical 'festivals' that do celebrate some of them.
But I was mearly responding to the assertion that no 'White Music' is celebrated. When it actually is.
But I understand your point.

"Singing, praying, sitting, eating and laughing with us for hours was indicative of his love for God, continued McClurkin, who was asked by President Bush to pray for the dinner. He is a president that openly acknowledges God.
You can either focus on the positive or negative aspects of this story -- I have chosen the former (as indicated by the above quote) and you have chosen the latter. I'm quite certain that I will move on to have the better day!!

Celebrating anything based on skin color is divisive and racist. So we need to stop with St. Patrick's Day, right?

The next year, I gave the people what they wanted. Fried chicken, ribs, greens, black-eyed peas, cornbread, and watermelon. Rave reviews. What's your address? I'm coming over and I'll bring my own plate and fork!

Didn't know that was based on being white. I thought it was based on being Irish.
To: DrDeb
Good for you.
As Forrest Gump said, "I'm sorry about breaking up your Black Panther Party."

Well . . . . ., that's different. The oranges have been discriminated against far too long in this country.

"It's an issue with me. Celebrating anything based on skin color is divisive and racist." I have to agree. It's condescending as well. (Besides that, he didn't mention Nat King Cole and Charlie Pride. ;>)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . . interesting rhetorical bate -- I could respond in kind, but then again, I want to maintain my current state of 'happiness' (re Dennis Prager)!
I'm off to enjoy my day . . . I hope you enjoy yours!
