NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico (AP) - Mourners honored Friday a border police chief gunned down just hours after taking over the post, while President Vicente Fox's spokesman said the United States shares some responsibility for the problem of border violence.

'snip'

Speaking to reporters in Mexico City, presedential spokesman Ruben Aguilar said the federal government "recognizes the violence in the northern region. It can't be ignored."

This is a problem in which the United States also shares responsibility, and that can be solved only through the mutual action of both countries," aguilar said.

Aguilar conceded that there had been "a breakdown of society in some parts of the country", but that the federal government would be willing to work together with the United States to address the problem.

also, you have to be fluent in spanish.

many americans have discovered recently that if they're not bilingual, they're not hired.

Because the captain of a shift is an illegal alien who wants to hire only other illegals or their immediate family.

They should report that place and start deporting.

If they think we should be governing that region, then fine.... They should give us the north 300 miles of Mexican territory. We'll tame it.

Is that not, in itself, discrimination? What we need is a good test case. I can't see any of our egomaniacal agenda-pushing judiciary allowing that...so it comes back to Congress. English MUST be made our Official Language!

"They should report that place and start deporting."

Hey, I think you've hit on the slogan that can be used when we finally get serious about ridding our country of illegals: REPORT AND DEPORT'

I'm liking it!

Funny, Syria says the same thing.

They are only terrorists when GWB declares them to be. And remember, Mexican murderers are only doing the jobs Americans won't do such as, murdering our border patrol people.

Calling all members of the Immigration Lawyers Association.

This could be a gold mine for you people. Hire your services out to El Prez Fox and sue the USA everytime a Mexican cop gets shot-- as America needs to "share the responsibilty".

Your specialty is defending Illegal Aliens inside the USA--(largely paid for by the US Taxpayer) so why not expand your service menu to include all crimes, on a global basis? Start with the Fox theory that if Americans didn't demand dope, there would be no supply from Mexico et al, and ergo no Mexican cops would be murdered. It's all America's fault...(end/el crapola)
