Even as a young scholar, John F. Kerry had nuance.
Apparently, so much so that his professors at Yale mistook him for an idiot.
At least, thats the look of things from Kerrys records as a college student.
As it turns out, if the Dr. Stephen Hawking Award for Genius was handed out between the two candidates in the 2004 presidential election, George W. Bush would have taken home the prize.
It seems that Kerrythe supposedly complex, intellectual giant of the 2004 presidential campaignreceived four D's out of ten classes his freshman year at Yale, and an overall composite grade average that was worse than Bushsthe man liberals constantly decry as the dumbest man in America.
And lets just say that from the looks of Kerrys college photograph, it wasnt because young Johnny was out wowing girls at toga parties with his dashing good looks and manly physique.
On the Yale grading scale, John F. Kerry scored a 61 in geology, a 63 and 68 in two history classes, and a 69 in political science. If hed slacked off just a tiny bit more, the F could stand for "Flunked out of Yale."
Although lets be serious here, is there anyone familiar with Kerry's politics that is actually surprised to learn he got D's in politics and history? Anyone want to wager whether he passed or flunked the exam on The Constitution?
The only thing any less surprising is the fact that one of Kerrys best classes was French, where he scored a whopping 77! It all makes so much sense now.
"I always told my dad that D stood for distinction," Kerry said yesterday. After a look at Kerrys grades, the D would more appropriately stand for dopey, dimwitted, Democrat. Or, Duhhhhh
Unfortunately, Kerrys record of sub par achievement continued following his graduation from Yale. He went from Vietnam War protester, to lawyer, to lieutenant hovernor for Michael Dukakis, to Ted Kennedy sidekick, to failed presidential candidate.
All thats left now for him to complete the circle of misery is a spot as DNC chairman and a job with Air America Radio. Although, youve got to hand it to the guy, he never stops trying!
It is now clear that liberals have nothing on President Bush anymore, what with the revelation that their best French-looking presidential nominee is still dumber than the misunderestimated, nucular, cowboy currently sitting in the White House. Compared to Kerry, it looks like the president got both the brains and the brawn.
Without the cornerstone of every liberal argumentthat conservatives are stupidwere left to wonder whats left for left-wing Democrats to bicker about.
I can hear it now: ''Well, Kerrys wife makes more money than Mrs. Bush!''

According to Howie Carr, the grapevine has it that he "settled" for BC only with the help of then Law School head, Robert Drinan -- who was afraid Kerry, recently defeated in some local race -- would try to go for the Congressional seat Drinan wanted.
And don't malign Kerry's first wife: don't know much about her, but there is one story (somewhere on FR) of -- IIRC -- two young neighbor girls -- not of the elite -- dropping in at their summer home one afternoon. Julie asked them to stay for dinner. When F'n came home (with some "important" acquaintance), he was appalled. Julie was appalled at him, and the girls stayed for dinner.
I think she was the babysitter. The Kerry's were having company over for dinner and his first wife invited the girl to stay. Kerry was infact appalled.
Thanks for the ping!
