Brit said Wilson maintains that he is more like a gazelle than a moose.

Believe what you will, but I've never really found the "It's not technically illegal and besides other people have done it" to be the strongest or most convincing of defenses.

I've got stories galore of his honorable deeds and work here in Alabama.

He does good work OK, BUT, he is first and foremost a politician. When you need him the most, he will be gone.
Why do you think he was one of those that the Dems let come to a vote?
Because, when it really counts, he will cave in to pressure.
Personally, I would rather have a KNOWN enemy than a "friend" that you can't count on.

IMHO - Cordially,

I know Judge Pryor, and I also know that you are incorrect.

Perhaps you are being misled by your own inherent cynicism...that's been the death of many a good person. You should try to beat it before it beats you.

Hummm...
Politician pledges support - public rally
Politician pledges unwavering support - public rally
Supported person takes action thinking his back door is covered because of direct, face to face, public pledge of support. (Judge Moore)
Political heat - Politician revokes support

I was there twice. I heard with my own ears the pledge of support both in context and type of support.

This is not intended to be advocating one way or the other Judge Moores actions. The public pledge of support covered exactly what happened, and Mr. Pryor was GONE!

Perhaps you don't know him as well as you think.

Cordially,
GE

"Maine Republicans Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe, and Rhode Island Republican Lincoln Chafee voted against Pryor."

These RINOs really owe the President and the Alabama delegation and explaination. What on earth is their reson for opposing Pryor?

I can understand someone opposing Janice Rogers Brown for idealogical reasons. She is a modern day Ayn Rand, so she terrifies liberals/socialists and wimpy moderates.

But Pryor is not an idealogue. He is just a southern conservative, a law and order prosecutor, and a Roman Catholic.

He has no judical activist tendancies, in fact, his history suggests the exact opposite.

I just have to assume anyone who opposes Pryor is simply an anti-catholic, or anti-southern bigot. There is no other explaination.

Many conservatives didn't like what roy moore did or how he did it...

Those conservatives, including ME, greatfully applaud the confirmation of Judge Richard Pryor.

Pryor was right to NOT back the self agrandizing actions of former judge Roy Moore and now he has been rightfully promoted via the thorough review of his peers, the Senate and the President of the United States.

Congratulations Judge Pryor.

It's a good thing.

some folks hate him because he dealt the death blow to judge roy's publicity campaign on the ten commandments.

others hate him because he is a constitutionalist.

I think the ones you mentioned hate him because he is pretty much a strict constructionist judge... one that might stand and rule against their favorite form of ritualistic slaughter... abortion... using constitutional means.
