They have the right to do this to the flag.(falls under the free speech notion) After all, it's just a piece of cloth. / sarcasm.

BUT, they forget that the 'free speech' sword cuts both ways.

If they feel justified in disrespecting, mocking, desecrating a symbol that 'we' honor, then 'we' would be equally justified in doing the SAME to a bunch of papers that are stuck together, that they call a holey book.
