Kulkis has mixed feelings about Bush, describing himself as a fiscal conservative and social liberal. He also notes the trend of pornography becoming more prevalent and accepted in American society.

Tell me how this man was invited to dine with Bush and he isn't a strong Bush supporter. And porn? Suprising!

so do a lot of fiscal conservative, social libertarians.
they vote republican by and large... but have big reservations regarding the constant expansion of the nanny state for the sake of 'christian moral virtues'... at gunpoint.

they represent about 30 percent of the republican party.
the alan keyes type of 'christian morality' voters in the republican party cannot make a decent showing anywhere they make their presence known, politically.

even IF this lady were twice the tramp implied by folks of the religious right:

"Mt 11:19 - The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

Mt 21:31 - Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you."

tell us that meeting with a known whore publicly is no disqualification or shame for anybody claiming to be a Christian.

"Tell me how this man was invited to dine with Bush and he isn't a strong Bush supporter."

Easy. He made a large enough contribution to the GOP to get on the mailing list for this fundraiser.

fiscal conservative and social liberal

Such bull. Since liberalism is about taking from one and giving to another, you can't be both. You have to pick a side.

They are having to combat the reports that the only way to meet with Bush is to sign a form that you are a committed republican and would never speak badly of the President.
