Anyone who "questions" Bush's stance on immigration needs to realize his his stance is the norm amongst Republicans. They are all afraid of properly securing the borders and deporting the illegals for fear of being branded as racists.
The one lone Republican who will take a proactive stance on the issue is Tom Tancredo, the Congressman from Colorado.
This issue will be the one issue that divides the Republicans in '08, but I'm willing to bet that most Republicans (including Hispanics) will be in favor of a candidate that properly deals with the issue.
Tancredo '08
"He admitted he hasn't done a very good job in being clear to the American people where he's coming from..."
Ya THINK? *Rolleyes*
The Pres has a stance? Is this the run-up to a policy?
This is damage control. Rove must have been reading the messages boards.
Your boy-wonder is gonna try damage control.
It's just a wee bit disingenuous that the same time Bush is trying to clarify his position, He (his appointees) issue and promote (LA Times)a brand spanking new road-map guide for immigrants to get all they can get. Of course, it is being distributed in all the major earth languages, and amazing--even English.

He's gonna fly the illegals back to Mexico, deep into the interior so it will take them a couple of months to wend their way back to the border again. That'll slow the influx some.
Anyone home tonight?
An illegal Mexican ran a red light and killed some legal immigrants from Columbia yesterday.
I have been saying this all along. If President Bush is a "straight shooter," which by and large I believe him to be, then why isn't he being forthcoming about his motives on the immigration issue?
I agree with the President, in that he has done a very poor job in communicating on this issue. Kudos for recognizing the problem.

"They just come here to do the jobs Americans will not do"
A small dose of what the Traitors(Pro-Illegal-Alien crowd) have unleashed on our country. Remember folks if the Illegals were not allowed in this country the following would not have happened.
So lets all thank the Pro-Illegal traitors for helping to kill Children, Mothers and law enforcement officials.
Bush has made it VERY clear of his stance: "Family values don't stop at the Rio Grande". 15 million illegal aliens here is a loud and clear dictate of Bush's "stand on immigration".
Bush needs to listen to some Representative Tom Tancredo speeches to tone up before this big speech of his.
Bush needs to shut up about illegals, break out his veto pen (has it ever been used?) on non military related spending, take a few RINO senators to the woodshed, and actually get something done on social (in)security reform and making tax cuts permanent.
His presidency is starting to look pretty lame to me in what he's accomplished compared to what he's run on. Don't get me wrong, I thank God every day that John effing Kerry is not president. That being said George W. Bush isn't fit to carry Ronald Reagan's chamberpots.
What he's gonna do? Rename his guest-worker program with something the sheeple will understand, like entry-and-exit program?
The problem with his guest-worker, or "entry-and-exit", program is that it's all entry and no exit. Once the aliens are allowed to come in, they will not want to go back, nor will anyone be able to make them go back.
And what about the children of these illegal aliens who are born on US soil? I bet you they will become automatically US citizens.
