WASHINGTON - In a meeting with members of Congress, President Bush said he needs to do a better job explaining his position on immigration changes, House Majority Leader Tom Delay said Wednesday.
"He admitted he hasn't done a very good job in being clear to the American people where he's coming from, and he's going to try to do better," said Delay, who attended the White House session where the president discussed his legislative agenda.

1] GOP failed to protect our national sovereignty
2] Spineless once again on the filibuster, et al.
You know what our hope is now? Our only hope is that Free Republic.com and other sources of conservatives lead us into a 2nd American Revolution. Our only hope is with the people of this nation--grassroots conservatives, taxpayers and decent people who love freedom--to step forward and demand our nation be returned to us.
If we fail to have a 2nd American Revolution, we lose it all. The GOP has thrown up the French-like white surrender flag.

Yeah I am clueless. Wejust had a hospital close near me because illegals were not paying for care. Hundreds of jobs were lost. I see, this is a good thing.

How many people are in this country illegally since they have failed to return after their VISA's ran out? I dated TWO women in this situation before I found out they were illegal.
There is no politician in this nation that is on our side. Even Tancredo has thrown in the towel and wants illeagal aliens to work here.

I hope Free Republic gets a new Mission Statement and that we are part of a groundswell of Americans who want to preserve our nation, reclaim our nation, and prevent our nation from the pending third-world status we are heading for, and the only way to fo this is through a 2nd American Revolution.

That poll you showed refuting "Iscool" can't be taken seriously.
Think about this--80% of the counties in the nation are red. However, the election in 2000 and 2004 was the closest ever/very close.
The point? If you took a poll among taxpayers and third generation legal residents, I bet 80% do believe what "Iscool" said. The poll refuting those numbers include how many illegal aliens, or second generation people from illegal aliens, and how many bums or nontaxpayers?
Second, how was the poll worded?
Example:
"Do you agree that President Reagan was correct in bombing little old helpless Libya?" 42% agree.
"Do you agree that Libya infringed on international waters and provoked our warships in the region and Reagan was correct in defending our right to internation waters.?" 88% agree.
Get the point? Polls are only as good as their wording. Before you refute "Iscool", think about these two points. BTW, while at it, add a third point--most grunts who work for polling companies are more than likely RATs, as the type of job and pay puts them in the RAT constituent-likely category. How can you even trust a poll knowing that RATs probably are dishonest about the answers they are given? I'd say about every poll is 5% biased against the "conservative side of the issue" simply due to fraud internally by polling people doing the grunt work, or in the case of NBC/CBS/ABC/ NYTIMES etc liberal/socialist organizations, fraud at the very top.
If CBS twists the truth (Bush memo) for their own political beliefs, can we not assume they twist the truth on the polls they take?
For the record, "Iscool", I would believe your figure is correct since 80% of the counties in this nation are red, I would believe 80% feel that way about this issue.
