It looks a little worse this year!
ATLANTIC BASIN SEASONAL HURRICANE FORECAST FOR 2005
Issue Date Issue Date Issue Date
Forecast Parameter and 1950-2000 3 December 1 April 31 May
Climatology (in parentheses) 2004 2005 2005
yep, live in the Tampa Bay area.
Now, for the first time in two decades I can look down on water from my eagle's nest on the third floor of a great condo......instead of sweating out water coming over a seawall.
Don't have to continually lug that heavy lawn furniture, etc. into the garage all summer.
It's always the water and flooding that's worrisome in my part of the palm woods. The wind is less of a worry.

It's gonna be a long summer. :-)
It also looks like it's heading right toward Onyx's NEW house........LOL.
Jelly,
We live in south Pinellas, almost to the Skyway.
I can hear those thunderstorms you were talking about, they must be heading our way.
I always know there's a storm coming because our dog gets nervous and parks herself at my feet, (normally) she'd be with my husband, but during a thunderstorm I'm the one she seeks out.
We've had rain almost every day, but it's been light. Today we didn't and our teenager wasn't happy because it meant he didn't have an excuse not to mow the lawn.
Hey Howlin'
Not a good way for Onyx to start the season!
LOL..not till Labor Day.
Have tried to ignore the season forecasts. OTOH, individual storms threatening GOM and Florida get my immediate attention.
;o)
It's guaranteed to go out within 10 seconds if a hurricane knocks it over :o)
I only heard abut it a few minutes ago and that's why I turned on the puter!!!!!
I was hoping we weren't going to be using this list...........
I sure ain't looking forward to it..............
This storm is still going through our area ... it's a big soaker. Nice relief from today's mugginess. Heat index hit 97 degrees this afternoon. Ugh.

Wolfgang Puck introduced a new line of lattes this month. That the Los Angeles chef has stamped his name on yet another product isn't surprising. But the container is. It heats itself.
It took a California company named OnTech seven years and $24 million to create the self-heating cans, which are activated by pushing a plastic button on the bottom. Water flows into a sealed inner cone filled with quicklime, which is mostly calcium oxide. A chemical reaction heats the coffee to a pleasant 145 degrees in six to eight minutes, the amount of time it might take to order, pay for and receive a latte from a barista.
I'd buy a case of this stuff!
Let's just keep hoping the weather continues to move East-->West, keeping TD #1 well off our shoreline.
Venetian Isle, do they flood out there because of all the canals?
I think Nautinurse lives on the water, but I don't think she had any flooding last year.
We're high and dry. Not far from the water, but Evac zone E. In fact in 16 years we've been here, never had street flooding.
BTW, we're having hard rain now.
Thanks for the heads up. At 2.25 a can that's cheaper than Starbucks, LOL...I'm going to check it out.
