Never leave a child or an animal in a locked car in Texas. It gets beastly hot in just a few minutes.
Combine this with the other story today about the baby starved to death in Chicago. Same comment:
Lesson from the ME generation:
"Let nothing stand in the way of your personal happiness.
To hell with all others."
Wow! This story has it ALL! Negligent mother, an SUV tie-in and in the Wal-Mart parking lot to boot!
Good Golly. That's Pulitzer material right there. /sarasm
We've done that very same things many times before. I used to run in the store for a pack of cigarettes, it took all of 45 seconds. Two of them are in their 30's now. They survived.
Hell, I used to hold my newborn cradled in my left arm as I drove the car with my right. I burped 5 of my kids on my shoulder as I drove down the highway.
And note, it was said she already had warrants out on her. Probably a crackhead. A mother of the year award candidate...>>NOT
"If the government didn't require us to put kids in the back seat, parents wouldn't forget they had children. If anyone should spend 20 years in jail, it's the legislators"
I really hope that anyone believing the above statement does not have children. Or at least straps their kids to the hood of their car where they will be sure to see them. Because it seems they need a reminder. Like when their kids are out of sight they are out of (tiny brained) mind
Hyphenated last names usually mean seriously stupid people. Case in point.
Regarding the responses to this post, it seems there are a lot of people here who can't detect sarcasm unless it's pointed out with a big, flashing neon sign.

It is not stupidity, it is wickedness.
Wal-Mart. Why do so many of these happen at Wal-Mart?
What was the time this happened...it seems to be absent in the story.
This mutha needs her butt whipped IMO.....
ROFL. Thanks for noticing.
I'm not sure what time it happened but it doesn't really matter. You can't sit in a closed up car at midnight right now in this part of the woods.
Sorry to bother...it mattered to me.
Good grief, I didn't mean that in a rude way. I don't know where you're from but I thought people reading this that aren't familiar with Texas heat would be interested to know that it's also very hot at night during the summer.
I get called many different names on FreeRepublic, thank goodness I'm not as thin skinned as you.
