But Coleus...why these attacks on Corzine?...didn't you hear his speech last night?

He is going to expand property tax rebates for seniors, make health care more affordable, work to insure those who don't currently have health insurance, make college more affordable for everyone, work to ensure that women get equal pay, etc., etc.

He is a generous guy...I didn't catch how he is going to fund all of this charity but, being that he is a multi-millionaire and he is the one promising to give all of this money away...I assume that he will be personally funding all of these charitable endeavors?

As I mentioned in other threads, a friend's quite liberal public school techer wife came out and offered that she would be voting Republican this fall because she can't stand Corzine or the state-level Democrats. So strong was her dislike that she actually sounded enthusiastic when I tolder her that she could vote in the primary but not vote for Corzine as a protest. Yeah, let's hope that keeps up. Of course they'll just bring in a pinch hitter if Corzone can't win. Lautenberg for Governor, anyone?

No doubt, but the same could be said of his opponent.

It’s hopeless.

Is it really an accomplishment to pass more laws? Don't we have too many already?

The only candidate for the house or the senate that I would vote for would be the one who promises to enact no laws at all, and who promises to devote himself/herself to overturning at least a third of the laws currently on the books! It is already far too easy for government to criminalize just about any American citizen! And that is something that must stop, and stop now!

Yes, good point, however, what the GOP is trying to say is that Corzine is an ineffective senator and legislator since he "introduced" over 150 bills! and none passed!

He would be a lousy governor, at least the sleaze, as a former mayor, had "some" political administrative experience and did correct many problems in the division of motor vehicles.

Corzine will win. And you can take that home to the bank.

If all Corzine does is spread the graft, that would be better than the torrent of laws that flow through the New Jersey Legislature every year. Let 'em line their pockets instead of taking away what little is left of our freedoms.

I'd rather see a D- guy on taxes and spending in office with an R behind his name than an F guy on taxes and spending with a D behind his name. Remember, you can't drag an entire state to the right at once. It's going to take baby steps, and getting someone in who may do slightly better than his opponent (or rather, slightly less bad) is a start.
