Saying possibly two cars being pursued, and several people have been shot, in a car to car shooting.
Only in LA would the occupants of two cars, continue to shoot at each other, while being pursued.
More likely that there is only a skeleton crew at the news station. Everyone has to get up early in case the MJ jury comes back with a verdict. Priorities!
I'm still thinking about doing the same thing, just not sure which part of the country would be best.
Brothuhzzz be callin' that a "summer gun"
My cable service doesn't provide the Police Pursuit TV channel, where you get nothing but live police pursuits from around the world. Also, the channel allows the tv to suck out the few remaining synapses from nervous system of those watching. Thus, allowing them to sit still for hours, watching cars driving on roads. When there are no car chases to be shown live, they plan to run "Celebrity Lawn Grass Growing, Live" to spice things up a bit.
Dull is good.
I can't sleep. I'm awake after midnight and I can't believe the chase is not on any of the cable news stations.
Hey, there is an idea. Pursuits are better than NASCAR, and many times more exciting.
You're leaving CA? Sad, isn't it, to leave all that beauty behind. We left in '77 and I'm still mourning the loss of my BEACH and great weather. And still not sure where to settle down forever cuz everywhere else sux.
Hey- here in the suburbs of New Orleans we have a Chinese Sheriff you DO NOT mess with.
A few days ago, several teens from Orleans parish came here to steal a car. They stole a truck, dumped it, stole another then took off in a high speed chase down a very busy highway.
100+bullets ended that chase real quick. Killed the 16 year old driver, not the two passengers.
Of course the screams of 'racism' and 'target practice' are everwhere. Most here support the Sheriff. He supported his deputies and said he'll do it again.
Where'd you go?
I expect there is plenty coverage of the mindless masses breathlessly awaiting the MJ verdict though.
the beach and coastal communities in the Carolinas have folks like us , I'm from old New England stock but I love places like Belle Haven,NC and then down the coast,... got to see it in the 70's delivering sailboats , very welcoming locals
Interesting. Of course in LA, this is almost a daily routine. The other poster gave me the idea of a police pursuit channel. Just kidding.
That reminds me about some major car problems I had a few weeks ago, including my car breaking down in rush hour. I coasted off on the shoulder. A bit later a very kind CHP officer came up and pushed me off the freeway because the tow truck's arrival was going to take at least another hour. Narrow shoulder of about 7 feet meant a harrowing ride with the officer telling me to try to avoid hitting the rail and me trying to steer around a slight curve without power steering.
Once I was off the freeway and thanked the officer profusely, I asked him about all the recent freeway shootings.
He said, "That's kind of a puzzling thing. There has never been a let up in freeway shootings since the 90s. There's no increase, and believe me, there has been no decrease in the number of freeway shootings."
"The officer continued: "Yet lately, for some reason, the local media has decided that freeway shootings are newsworthy events again and we really don't know why."
"It's kinda strange they decided to make freeway shootings headlines again because we have had freeway shootings every single day since they began - what in the 80s or 90s?"
KCAL is not mentioning this chase at all. Is it on any radio stations?
First of all you still need to fly your current State flag there, and secondly ACKKKKKKKK! LOL!
I think the news stations have pulled away due to pursuits consuming their broadcasts all day.
It wasn't on KFI for the few minutes I listened. (I listened for a few but that Ziegler dude is so bad, I turned it off.) Nothing else comes in well enough for me to check.
Oh yeah, that'll be the day, LOL. Maybe the chase is in an area where helicopter fly-overs are prohibited or the chopper had to set down for a re-fuel.
