A New Type of Phobia

A New Type Of Phobia By Robin Mullins Boyd June 7, 2005

The medical community was stunned at research that uncovered a new phobia that strikes only those on the Left. Since the 2000 Election, the Liberals have exhibited signs of the new phobia. It is an irrational fear that has reached epidemic proportions since the 2004 Presidential Election. This burgeoning disorder is called "Bush-Phobia".

The Left has taken Bush-phobia to an extreme that defies comprehension. The primary characteristic of this phobia is an unending hatred of President Bush, any person associated with his administration and Republicans in general. Bush-phobia has stymied any change in course for the Democratic Party. It has the panic stricken Liberals stuck in "I hate Bush" land. Judging from the recent statements from Liberals, the phobia is only getting worse.

One of the hallmark signs of Bush-phobia is the spewing forth of inappropriate and hate filled comments in public, a kind of Tourrette's Syndrome for Democrats. Senator Harry Reid has long suffered from this dreaded disorder but was fairly successful in masking it with his soft tone of voice and "Revenge of the Nerds" appearance. Reid's illness was exposed when he called President Bush a loser in front of a group of high schoolers. As is typical of those suffering from Bush-phobia, Reid refuses treatment.

Then we have Amnesty International, whose entire membership could receive a group discount for treatment of Bush-phobia. The illness runs so deep in this crowd that it has pushed them into delusional thinking. Case in point -- calling the detention facility at Gitmo a "gulag" but forgetting to condemn the deaths of innocents in Iraq by insurgent terrorists.

Those suffering from Bush-phobia also have an obsession about underwear. Remember the outrage when photos from Abu Ghraib showed prisoners with underwear on their heads? It was almost as bad when Saddam Hussein appeared in tighty-whiteys on the front page. Those caught up in the throes of Bush-phobia forget that at least the prisoners had heads to put underwear on -- unlike Nick Berg and others. They also seem to forget the beatings of American soldiers held hostage during Gulf War I, the thousands of innocents murdered by Saddam during his reign of terror and the US soldiers executed at the beginning of the war in Iraq.

There are some poor souls that have suffered from Bush-phobia since the 2000 Election. Former VP Al Gore is a perfect example of how Bush-phobia can push you over the edge. Others, like Senator Robert Byrd and Senator Ted Kennedy, have such a severe case of Bush-phobia that they forget things that happened in their own past while railing against the Bush Administration.

New phobias have developed as a result of the epidemic of Bush-phobia. There have been some reports of Rummy-phobia with sporadic outbreaks of Delay-phobia. Another illness has cropped up since the War in Iraq and is the most deadly -- U.S. Military-phobia.

While the Left wallows in their Bush-Phobia, they continue to lose credibility with the American people. It has reached a point where many Liberals could benefit from professional treatment. One of the best treatments is "Exposure Therapy". This type of therapy gradually exposes the patient to the object or situation which frightens him/her and helps the patient develop coping skills. Good news for the Left -- they are going to be "exposed" to President Bush and the Republican majority for the next four years.

But wait -Howard Dean is a physician. Maybe he can assist with the phobia treatment for his party of hate. On second thought, after hearing his speeches over the last few weeks, the phrase "Physician Heal Thyself" comes to mind.

Here's hoping that the CDC can come up with a cure real soon....Then again, it sure is a great recruiting tool for the Republicans.

Funny... in reading some FReepers tag lines... they suffer from a "Hillary phobia"...and obsess about her on so many threads...it's kinda comical.

I think Hillary is a chronic BS'r...like 80% of politicians out there... I do not like her or her policies...but I harbor no irrational fears about her like some FReepers do.

:)

I was at the bookstore of the Museum of the Pacific War (Fredericksburg, TX) around Christmastime when one dude walks in, and the elderly lady behind the counter complimented him on his looks, said he looked like Dick Cheney. The dude turns out to be a liberal, goes into a full screaming meltdown. I thought the police would have to stop by. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

I would have paid money to see that!!

Another phobia is "Fox Phobia" - the belief that Fox News is the spawn of Satan.

By the way, did anyone see Drudge's latest post about Dean's latest faux pas? What a complete and total Moron.org! Thank goodness!!
