I read an article a few years ago, I do not remember the medical magizine it was in, that showed that lesbians had a higher rate of HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) which has been shown to lead to higher rates of cervical cancer in lesbians than in the general public. HPV is the virus that is responsable for genital warts.

Lesbians and nuns have much higher rates of breast cancer since they don't have children.

Some possible reasons for increased lesbian mortality are that 1) lesbians tend not to give birth or to have their first child later than heterosexual women (which increases cancer risk) 2) lesbians on the average have pap smears (and receive medical attention generally) at a lower rate than heterosexual women 3) bisexual women and previously heterosexual or bisexual lesbians report a fairly high rate of anal sex with male partners, which is suspected of increasing the risk of HPV infection.
