Re #19
His daddy and he used to hang out with Russkies. He was called Yura, not Jong-il when he was young. He must still dig some Russian food.

LOL...the "Team America" rule regarding Li'l Kim has become as ironclad as the "ABC" rule when any of three women are named.

RE:
Laclette(?): cheese and potato dish $40 Probably means "raclette cheese", a Swiss dish, served with [red] potatoes and those cute little cocktail onions
and pickles.
No $40 freakin' bucks. It's been about 20 years, but I recall paying something like $2 or $3 for all you can eat in Zermat.

Whatever happened to kimchi and rice?
Well, a couple guards ate some at the Ryongchon railyards last April, and then were lighting their intestinal gas.

I have yet to see a better FR-usable substitute for the "F" word.
In the tradition of Drew Carey, I use "modell" as a substitute for the other major zot-word.

Never in my life have I seen $200 shrimp.I think most of the expense is in the elaborate preparation.

And how come the roasted pheasant is so cheap? They might still be over run by pheasants over there.
During the Korean War, my oldest brother was his Army Engineers company commander's jeep driver, and he said he and the captain stopped and shot pheasants with their carbines regularly, and ate roast pheasant until he was nearly sick of them.

How the New Left Liberals feeeeeeeeeeeeeel about such things: The North Korean per capita spending for food is above average.
To: Doe Eyes
I think most of the expense is in the elaborate preparation. He's eating the shrimp raw. I guess it's like sushi or something. People pay ridiculous amounts of money for raw fish. I've always considered raw fish to be one of those things that you eat when you are lost at sea and the only thing left in the boat is a can of brussel sprouts.
