I am sure they would try, but I pray that they wouldn't--NOT that I for a second believe the President Bush deserves impeachment, or will be impeached...

BUT, I think just the "threat" of a Cheney presidency would be enough to scare them...besides, Bush could pull a Nixon and resign BEFORE it got to that point, and Cheney would just step in....delicious!!!!

Too tell the truth, this is one reason I was not 100% behind Clintons removal from office. I was supportive of the impeachment, but I feared the punishment would be too much for our country, an Al Gore presidency. I also knew that if AG became President due to impeachment, it would be much harder to get a Republican in office in 2000.

So all I can say to Dems is "Be careful what you wish for"
