An embattled Mayor Jim West, facing Spokane media for the first time in the month-long sexual misconduct scandal at City Hall, vowed not to resign and to pay for his own legal defense – even borrowing money from his elderly father if necessary.
"I can still continue to be an effective mayor … . I never violated my oath of office, and I never used my office in violation of the law or for any personal gain," West said.
West singled out two powerful Democrats – former Washington Gov. Mike Lowry and ex-President Bill Clinton – for surviving sex scandals and going on to perform well in their final years in office.

There are so many "told you so"'s in this whole story... there's nowhere to begin.
1. Homosexual Scout Leaders DO abuse boys. You can read it all here.
2. Homosexuals are self-interested, narcisists who place their personal sexual satisfaction above duty. This is why they should not be soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen or mayors.
3. Homosexuals are consumate liars. They lie to themselves, their parents and all of society about the nature of their mental disease. Their entire lives are built on one lie after another.
4. Older Homosexual Men always seek out young boys to have sex with (54 vs. 18).
5. Homosexual men place themselves in positions of power and authority to prey on vulnerable young men. West did exactly that his entire adult life.
This guy should be the poster-boy for all that is sick and wrong with the "normalization" of homosexuality.

It appears this man doesn't have the moral integrity to be a leader. It doesn't matter what others have done and gotten away with.

Well, I don't think it would be approved of if the mayor was pursuing 18 year old girls, or even 25 year old women and offering them city jobs as part of that pursuit.
