"Real Men Moisturize." So begins an article on "Sharp Dressed Men" that appeared in a State Department funded magazine aimed at youth in the Arab world. The magazine, called "Hi" is published in Arabic and English. A State Department website explains that Hi is published "with the hope of building bridges of greater understanding among our cultures."

Here's the English version of this month's Hi.

One section, American Moments, consists of "images of ordinary citizens, from cities and towns and rural areas all over America." You know...like this guy:

Overall, Hi didn't look too bad. If State ever gets clued in that American men aren't into Moisturizing, Hi should be a good sell.

I would be happy if men trimmed the hairs from their ears and nose, wore sunscreen, could cook simple dishes and knew what "non-sexual touching" meant.
I briefly dated a man who, when visiting me, refused to pee behind a tree (in the wilderness). I had to drive 1/2 an hour to the nearest state park restroom. Now that's a wimp.
