See, that's the problem. The rate and range of transmission is so uncertain. The whole thing might not take off. There are even climactic conditions to entertain. Too many variables, including not the least of which is our own bodies abilities to fight off infections. If we were already subject to this we'd have vanished from the planet at the time the Black Death swept the globe. Even when a vector of transmission has been enhanced or weaponized it takes a direct contact to make life a precarious proposition. Again, I see a bio-attack as a follow on proposition instead of a main force first strike. OTOH, make no mistake, if we see one form of WMD we'll likely see several of them and that would include as many variables as they can cook up to keep us off balance., Then comes the low tech things that go bang.

Yes, I've been involved in trucking since I could walk under the frame of one without ducking, and have been driving for some 29 years now.
I own a little Trucking company in Utah and service the bay area of California and south central Idaho.
Truckers are the best!
When we moved out of state about 5 years back; we found the long drive up and back was pleasureable due to the truckers. They were polite, courtesous and stayed awake. Good deal.

"Saudi couple - publisher of Muslim religous books arrested for keeping slave in Colorado"
June 10, 2005
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Aurora - An Aurora couple were indicted Thursday, accused of enslaving an Indonesian woman in their home for four years, forcing her to cook and clean without pay.
The husband also is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting the woman, records show.
Residents of the well-kept neighborhood where Homaidan Al-Turki and Sarah Khonaizan lived with their four children said a team of heavily armed police surrounded the house and took the couple into custody last week.
Federal indictments handed up Thursday accuse the couple of keeping the woman in servitude to care for their children and perform other domestic chores without paying her.
She was intimidated with "aggravated sexual abuse," the indictment said. Al-Turki faces numerous sexual-assault charges in connection with the case, according to court records.
The Denver Post is withholding the name of the alleged victim because of the nature of the allegations."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 9, 2005
HOMAIDAN AL-TURKI AND SARAH KHOAIZAN INDICTED FOR FORCED LABOR, DOCUMENT SERVITUDE, AND HARBORING
DENVER Bill Leone, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Colorado, James Casey, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Denver Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Jeffrey Copp, Special Agent in Charge of the Denver office of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), announced that HOMAIDAN AL-TURKI, age 36, and his wife SARAH KHONAIZAN, age 35, both of Aurora, were indicted today by a federal grand jury in Denver on charges of forced labor, document servitude and harboring an illegal alien. AL-TURKI and KHONAIZAN are being held in Arapahoe County on related state charges.
According to the indictment, starting on September 10, 2000 and ending on November 18, 2004, AL-TURKI and KHONAIZAN allegedly obtained and aided and abetted obtaining the continued labor services of an Indonesian woman by creating a climate of fear and intimidation through aggravated sexual abuse and other means, which was intended to cause the victim to believe that had she not performed the services, including cooking, cleaning, child care and other domestic labor, that she would suffer serious harm. The defendants also allegedly threatened the victim with abuse of law and the legal process. During that same time frame, the defendants allegedly confiscated and concealed the victims Indonesian passport and United States visa, and harbored her for the purpose of obtaining domestic services for little or no wages or pay, knowing that she was illegally in the United States.
AL-TURKI faces sexual assault charges in Arapahoe County in relation to his conduct with the victim in this case.
The indictment includes a forfeiture allegation, stating that the victim is entitled to $92,700, which represents a conservative estimate of the gross proceeds she would have been entitled to had she been paid lawfully.
Both defendants face: One count of forced labor including aggravated sexual abuse, which carries a penalty of up to life in federal prison, and/or a $250,000 fine; one count of document servitude, which carries a penalty of not more than 5 years in federal prison, and/or a $250,000 fine; and one count of harboring an alien, which carries a penalty of not more than 10 years in federal prison, and/or a $250,000 fine. The defendants actual prison sentence will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge in Denver.
In a free country such as ours, during these modern times, it is unconscionable that individuals would take such tremendous advantage of another, said FBI Acting Special Agent in Charge James Casey. In this case the victim came into the United States legally, only to have her freedom taken away. That conduct is criminal, and there can and will be consequences.
Few crimes are more repugnant to our society that enslaving other human beings, said Jeffrey Copp, special agent in charge of the Denver Office of Investigations for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It's hard for many people to believe that forced labor still exists in this country. Anyone who suspects such crimes are occurring should call the ICE hotline at: 866-DHS-2ICE.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Brenda Taylor.
These charges are only allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.

"It's much healthier for a terrorist suspect to live in Germany than in Guantanamo:Acquittal of 9/11 suspect upheld"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A German federal appeals court has upheld the acquittal of a September 11 suspect Thursday, starting the clock ticking on how long the Moroccan man could remain in the country.
Abdelghani Mzoudi, 32, was acquitted in February 2004 of charges he helped September 11 hijackers Mohamed Atta, Marwan al-Shehhi and Ziad Jarrah in their plot to attack the United States.
The five judge panel did not immediately give their reasons for upholding the original Hamburg state court verdict.
With his student visa no longer valid, Mzoudi now has two weeks to leave the country, said Norbert Smekal, a spokesman for the Hamburg state immigration department.
The process could be delayed, however, if Mzoudi decides to apply for political asylum or take other legal steps, said Hartmut Jacobi, one of his attorneys.
"He has not yet decided whether he will remain here," Jacobi told The Associated Press earlier Thursday."
