The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

MIRAMAR, Fla. -- Despite the massive federal, state and local law enforcement effort to stop terrorists from entering the United States, there is no strong evidence of how well it is working.

Many experts are concerned that there are plenty of terrorists or sympathizers already in the country who have been here for years. Some are even citizens.

The Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers were the first wave and now the increasing number of arrests seems to signal a second wave of terrorism in South Florida.

I'm back from my funeral/family duty trip.....went through some of the worst storms I have ever seen. We drove from eastern Oklahoma to Kansas City yesterday. Finally had to stop in KC because of the weather. Continued on home to Rapid City this morning. May I join the party? WCG has volunteered dessert. Hope it's something chocolate. I volunteer virtual hot buttered popcorn. It would be a bit of a relief to break away from the terror threats, not they are not important, but it would be fun to get to know each of us a bit better.

AL-QAEDA has established a foothold in Palestine with a new militant group based in Gaza formed by extremists who have become disillusioned with Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Amid the biggest flare-up of violence in Gaza since a ceasefire was declared three months ago by Palestinians and Israelis, the Jerusalem Post has quoted unnamed Palestinian Authority security officials as saying that a new group called Jundallah or 'Allah's Brigade' had links to the terrorist organisation headed by Osama bin Laden.

The new terror group consists mainly of former Hamas and Islamic Jihad members who believe these two militant groups have become too moderate. It has close ties to al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran.

I make a wicked chocolate fudge pudding cake, with walnuts. I ususally make a 9X13 pan and eat half of it. Which I don't need to since I am not thin. :-)

You know if the FBI would just take a few or just one of us TM'ers in and point us in the right direction with inside info. We could solve alot of this.

We probably have a bigger research pool of people that are truly (that is a key word) wanting to stop this with out the egos.

So many times I've thought that very thing myself. Given funding for one or two of those investigation sites, I know I'd be glad to gratis search for last known addresses of visa expired people and/or however I could help from my home computer. Instead we hire foreigners (cough cough) to do this type of work or just let those people free to roam our country for God knows how long doing whatever they please. What could be wrong with that picture?
