President Bush wanted to appoint Christopher Cox to a federal court judgeship, but Democrat Senators of California (Boxer and Feinstein) opted to veto the appointment under an old Senate privilege that a judge can't be appointed if the Senators from his/her state don't concur.
Oh ya, I know, like, exactly what you mean? Omigosh, is it so dish when you can't think of, like, the word you want, and then you think of it? Ya know?
Okay, we'd better stop now before we drive every single person off this thread.
You're right, it IS hard to stop!
Okay, I think I am about to get mad now.
What complete swine these people are.
That's exactly what's happening with Judge Saad too- both Michigan Senators, Carl "The Pengiun" Levin and Debbie Stab-a-cow, are against Saad for their own selfish reasons.
Valley girls, from the San Fernando Valley next to Los Angeles. Was a middle class, upper middle class area at one time.
Condi's changed her hair style. It makes her look younger.
My husband and evidentally Bush, too, think highly of Cox's intelligence and knowledge and thought he would have been a fabulous judge.

Does anyone know who might be running against Stabenow in 06?
Do you think Cox is going to have problems in getting confirmed?
Mike
You do a great job, snugs. Thank you.
God bless and heal GretchenM.
She's a super lady and we wish her well.
I'm afraid I don't even know if he has to be confirmed, I suppose he does. I can't even guess if they would balk at that. If so, the Senate DemoRats are shooting their bullets at the small targets once again, I would think. But they can stall and obfuscate and drag things on forever and the moveon people just cheer them on.
However, this could be the financial community they would be going against too, not just the little people like us, and that might put a different light on it.
I thought I was mad about this before, but now I am really, really getting angry.
*** Glad she is on our side, although I guess with brains like that, where else would you be.***
Why, THANK YOU, Barbah. What a nice thing for you to say about m...OHHHHHH! Um....(looking sheepish) I was er...just thinking out loud.
