Hello my FRiends,
Funny how breaking news comes with attachments... I got this in my email inbox ... watch out.
Besides, if it ain't on Free Republic, it ain't news!
*** Turn on your TV. Osama Bin Laden has been captured. While CNN has no pictures at this point of time, the military channel (PPV) released some pictures. I managed to capture a couple of these pictures off my TV. Ive attached a slideshow containing all the pictures I managed to capture. I apologize for the low quality, its the best I could do at this point of time. Hopefully CNN will have pictures and a video soon. God bless the USA! Burt Gaston ***
At least you had the common sense to post under breaking news!
A non-English speaker?
Breaking News? Nope, just put it under Front Page News ... did it end up in Breaking anyway?
Or a Democrat. Anyone who uses "at this point in time" just ain't right in the head.
;o)
That whole zip attachment and saying the Millitary Chanel is PPV. Marked it as spam and trashed.
You noticed that too?
It baffles me that these broken-English emails are actually opened by some people.
This might be a good time to mention that around 5 am PDT today I got an email from Earthlink, my ISP congratulating me for my anniversary with them and a link "this would be a good time to review your account information and make sure everything is up to date including credit card information and..."
The Page involved was a flawless mimic of the Earthlink site.
After I stopped laughing, I forwarded it to their fraud link. I hope no one was suckered in by it.
Well, they're not available at this point in time! (ROFL!)
I get those anniversary emails a couple of times a year. That one is bad.
Doesn't your Scamblocker catch that and reroute you to the actual Earthlink page that tells you it is a scam? Mine does. I just love Earthlink! No more pop-ups, no more scams, no more spams, no more junk mail...yeehaw! MSN was a nightmare and AOL discs are only good for target practice : )
The short answer is no. For a variety of reasons I don't use Earthlink software. IE 6.0....
"Okay, everyone, there's a new virus out there that's actually not being picked up by antivirus apps yet. The following is the E-Mail you get: Turn on your TV. Alfonso Finch The subject line is "Captured..." Attached to this E-Mail is a .ZIP file with a single PICS.SCR file in it (at least, in the example I got.) As always, NEVER open a .SCR, .EXE, .BAT, .PIF, .COM, .MSI, .VBS, .CPL, etc. from an E-Mail, even if you know the source (since many viruses spoof addresses in your own address book.) All of these extensions are blocked by our mail filter, but in this case, it comes inside of a .ZIP file. We don't want to block all .ZIP files from our network, so just keep your eyes open."
Gaston?!
