very probably you are wrong. perhaps he WANTS to live in a garage apartment at his daughter's place. and running away and joing a commune doesn't constitute abuse of any kind, let alone financial abuse (whatever that is).

if you're fishing for a reason to pillory the guy and his family, i recommend using another bait.

If she is taking his pension checks and using the money to support herself, and NOT provide care for him..then she is abusing him..and defrauding him..she's doing his banking..she spends the money..I'd wager that he gets at least $4k grand a month..he could live very comfortably in some lovely senior care residences for a lot less than that..

It certainly wouldn't be the first time an elderly person was abused/ taken advantage of by a member of the family.

It is a possibilty. Her statement about paying bills does raise a red flag.

You finished Jr. High yet?
That she ran away to join a commune does not address her attitude towards her father, but it does suggest a weak mind and an inferior sense of adulthood and responsibily.
If her father is in fact mentally incompetent, it is not much of a stretch to infer a probable inclination to exploit a minimum effort golden opportunity.

He was a disgruntled employee that was past over for promotion.

He was the holder of Hoover's secret files and he leaked information to two junior reporters to lure Nixon into a cover up scenario. Colson says that Nixon kept asking if a crime had been committed and was being told "no"

He probably had some dirt on someone because Nixon later testified on his behalf and Reagan pardoned him.

Nixon de-fanged this snake (Hoover's FBI) but it cost him. Anyway that's the way I choose to look at it.

Why? is he off limits for some reason? He (FELT) had no problem raising questions or pointing fingers and looking into others backgrounds why does he deserve a pass now that he want to come clean? I want to know the motive; though I know$ it.
