If she is taking his pension checks and using the money to support herself, and NOT provide care for him..then she is abusing him..and defrauding him..she's doing his banking..she spends the money..I'd wager that he gets at least $4k grand a month..he could live very comfortably in some lovely senior care residences for a lot less than that..

Ken, if you ask any elderly person if they'd rather live in a facility or with a loved one, believe me, they'd pick a loved one. Why do you have to make this a story about abuse. She's taken care of a parent for over 20 years. I'd say that qualifies for Sainthood.

Ken, do you have elderly parents or grandparents? Have you asked them which they would prefer....livin' in the home or staying with kin? I think you're fishing without a license. Whether or not his daughter ran away to join a commune (hello? it was the 60's! Her dad was a Fed! Can't get away with much at home....) is immaterial to his present situation. Also, do you know the percentage of widowers who die shortly after their wives die, mostly due to loneliness?

She said they could use the money from a book to pay down debts, starting with all the debt she has that has gone to educate "HER" children. Since when do you use the Grandfathers money to educate your children. She came across as a money hungry b___h and he appears to have mental problems.

...with round the clock nursing care and proper nutritious meals.

Some of these places are downright gorgeous, and some have private cottages or apartments.
