Lesbian Basketball, Season 9 vs. the Indy Chick June 02, 2005 By Debbie Schlussel
Whats the difference between the WNBA and Danica Patrick?
For one thing, she looks like a woman, and they dont.
Then theres Title IXaffirmative action for useless womens sports no-one cares about, like water polo and crew (a/k/a You Gotta Regatta Lesbiatta).
WNBA players had Title IX to succeed, but are in season nine of extreme failure. Danica Patrickthe rookiette race-car driver who came in forth at Sundays Indy 500didnt have Title IX. They dont have it in racing. The IRL only has that amazing non-governmental program, called, The Free Market. And unlike the WNBA, Patrick competes against the men on their own turf. And succeeding.
Thats the lesson of the last week in sports: Feminism is phony. Sports are showbiz. Good-looking women get endorsements. Women who look and act like men dont. Women who succeed against men on their own turf get respect. Women who constantly whine about equalityyet need their own, separate, unequal league to succeeddont get respect.
Take a look at the raven-haired, petite Patrick with her long tresses. Then, look at the
72 Margo Dydek of Connecticuts WNBA teamif you dare. Which one would guys rather date? Which one would most young girls rather be like when they grow up?
Hint: They arent making a scale version of Dydek Barbie anytime soon. Dyslexic young girls might unscramble the letters of her surname and get the right idea of what the WNBA is really about.
Thats the image from which the WNBA is desperately trying to get away. But its stuck with it like white on rice (apologies to low-carbers).
When the season started over a week ago, the leagues website featured a story about WNBA players prom memories. But

I'll never understand why lesbians, allegedly liking women, dress, style, act, and pick companions that look like men.
I remember in college thinking that I felt kind of sorry for the girls teams because, hey, nobody cared. Me included. I have zero interest in watching beefy looking women play sports. Who does?
No lesbian basketball..
By the way, Conway & Steckler, a radio show here in LA, once called another city like Detroit or something and said they needed to order a large block of tickets for the opening game of their WNBA team (whatever it is). They started off by saying they needed a couple hundred seats together and the person on the phone said "you got it." Then they kept upping it until it was like 10,000 seats together and the person said, "you got it, taken care of." For the opening game of the season.
Couldn't disagree more, there is more real team play in any WNBA or women's college game than in a whole season of the 1-on-1 dunkfest that the NBA has become.
Margo Dydek is cute. Lighten up Debbie.
I don't think she is notably goodlooking, sorry. If she was a woman from my past, she would rank dead last in the looks department.
....you must forward this to Bob and Tom at Bob&Tom.com
How do you post photos on here, like that one? I tried to post that one and the second Sean Hannity one, and neither would paste onto my paste. Any tips?
I came across lesbians before I ever met a gay dude. There was my landlady's daughter Mary. She was older than my mother, but we all thought she was just a career girl. Hey, I came from an Irish neighborhood in the 60's and 70's...loads of bachelors and spinsters. Well, Mary hooked up with this bull dyke (I forget her first name 'cause I couldn't stand her) who used to be a nun. This woman was a witch with a capital B. Mary had a nephew who was my age (we were 10 or 11 at the time) Diesel girl always gave my friend Joe hell. Neither Mary nor Diesel played hoops....but they didn't leave me with a favorable impression of lesbians. Maybe if they had taken up hoops they would have left my friend alone.
I'll FReepmail you with the code.
I'll bet 90 percent of the players in the WNBA have more character than the person who wrote this tripe or the one who posted it.
Why tear down dedicated, goal-oriented people? Most of those young women used their athletic ability to get scholarships that helped them graduate college.
My hat's off to those players.

If you say so, but do you think that there are any players in the WNBA who could realistically make any NBA team? Do you think that an WNBA allstar team would have any chance against even a mediocre NBA team? Perhaps the WNBA style of play is more to your liking, but from a competitive (ie winning) standpoint they are inferior.
IMO, what's played in the NBA isn't really "basketball" anymore.

C'mon your smarter than that! It's called publicity! She was pimping in Chicago years back on the ManCow morning show.

No one does, except other beefy looking women. If you want to watch team sports at the highest level, then you're always talking about men's team sports. A few of those WNBA girls are cute (Sue Bird) and few could be cute of they were a little more girly (Diana Taurasi), but for the most part - ech.
